I would like to understand functions of natural estrogen and

progesterone. I am having severe hair loss. After menopause, does one

need both estrogen and progesterone? Does natural progestone therapy

increase the estrogen level? I am considering progesterone cream and

would like to know the benefits of this. I would like any any

information please. Thanks

This sounds like a thyroid problem. Are you taking one of the synthetic thyroid

hormones like Synthroid? If so, you might want to switch to Armour. My hair is

much healthier after making this change. Most of us are estrogen dominance so

the progesterone cream will help balance your hormones. I would suggest doing a

saliva test for hormones. Call a compounding pharmacist in your city and ask

for referrals to a doctor that prescribes bio identical hormones. The natural

progesterone will probably help, but I think the key is balance. To do this

properly you need to work with a doctor that is knowledgeable on bio identical

hormone replacement.

Hair loss can be a thyroid problem, but can also be a symptom of

estrogen dominance. If you would like more information on balancing

your hormones naturally and other women's health topics, join my

We discuss many women's health issues related to PMS, menopause, the

symptoms of estrogen dominance, PCOS, and much more.
