Anyone know of an excellent shampoo and conditioner that doesn't have sodium

laureth sulfate, sp.? in it? I live in a dry climate and the few I have

tried don't do a darn thing for me.

Thanks!!!

Tammy ;)

The best, cleanest(as far as chemicals go) shampoo, conditioner and personal

products are AUBREY ORGANICS. I don't use anything else on myself or kids. You

can check out the environmental working group's site at www.ewg.org and click

on " skin deep " . This is a VERY detailed breakdown and rating system for all

types of personal products like make-up, soaps, shampoos, baby products,

lotions, etc. It forced me to throw out so much of what I was using, and really

look into healthier items.

It's an awesome site if you haven't seen it yet!!

What about something REALLY alternative, like baking soda for a hair

wash and organic apple cider vinegar for a rinse? Takes a little

getting used to, especially if you have long, thick hair like mine

(like a horse's tail!), but the effect on the hair after a few washes

is amazing. And there really is no fragrance left behind, just an

invigorated scalp after the cider vinegar rinse. You just rub or

comb a handful of baking soda through your dry hair before you get it

wet in the bath or shower. Massage in and then rinse. Dilute about

1/4 cup ACV to about 1 cup warm water and pour through your hair,

massage again and then rinse. In the cae of really thick, unruly

hair, comb right away while still in the shower or bath while your

hair is still very wet, and then again as it dries (I never use a

hairdryer, as it will completely frizz my hair). My hair is soft and

very healthy, and I haven't had split ends in over 20 years.

Cheers
