There is an interesting article in the September 1999 John R. Lee,

M.D. Medical Letter that I'd like to share with you. It was written

by Virginia Hopkins, co-author of a couple of Dr. Lee's books.

Please read this carefully. It is so important that we all " Wake Up "

to the corruption and lies that take place each and every day so we

are better able to make sound decisions about our health and well-

being. When we are willing to TAKE CHARGE of our life and open

ourselves to TRUTH, a whole new world will begin to unfold. We, as a

group of people, can begin to make change that supports us, the

people, not the government agencies, pharmaceutical gaints or the AMA.

" Last May two of the New York Times' top science writers did a

major investigative piece about physicians who are paid by drug

companies to test experimental drugs on their patients. The doctors

rarely fully inform the patient of the situation, or that they are

being paid for the patient's participation. According to the Times

article, hundreds of thousands of patients are the unwitting subjects

of drug experiments, for which their doctors are being paid handsomly

for each patient they recruit. The top-recruiting docs can make as

much as $1 million a year. What does that spell? Conflict of

interest! "

" Who gets the doctor's loyalty-the patient or the drug company

that just paid him as much as $5,000 to put the patinet on the drug?

To wetten the pie, the top-recruiting doctors are often offered

authorship of scientific papers on the drugs which are written for

them and published in medical journals. "

" A good general rule when your doctor offers you a prescription

drug is to ask how long its been on the market. If the answer is

anything under five years, the amount of time necessary to really

detect long term side effects, " Just say no. "

Here's to your health, freedom and right to know the truth,
