And it's good to have a poet like yourself helping people attune to a volunteer sense of community. After all, community is nothing more than volunteerism. You know it best of all given your work. If any thing, I just have to read all the emails to make sure nobody is offering boot-legged digital versions of the Eastland and Paradigm books. And I have to think of ways to inflate this on to my resume. For those looking for a chance to get rowdy be aware that Todd will remain the Big Cheese, the Jefe Maximo, the Tai Laoban, the Big Boss behind the list and of course all of CHA. As to my own background, most of you know... but I graduated from Emperor's 10 years ago and have been practicing in Southern California and teaching at Emperors and YoSan for some time now. I also worked as an herbalist in the Yo-San herb room for several years. My first experience with online groups was 20 years ago when I bought an Apple iic so that I could join the WELL, an internet discussion group that pre-dates the Web as we know it now. I really can't see any issues with the group... we are now fairly free of personal vignettas, totally, totally off topic posts, scary politics, spam and people who re post a weeks worth of messages.
