Recently the ones that I knew something about or it struck a cord are the ones I actually got to read I knew some thing about. I also normally don't go down the page that far!! The quote was a small but very important way to let me know that I was on my path and that all would be accomplished. Guess he knew I needed some confirmation. The first being a visual fire of the color green or orange, the second being a container with water and normal salt. Everyone has been helpful and all I did was response to someone else's question about sage. I have been quite amazed that it generated this much response. If you were referring to picky - I did ask three times for a response to a question concerning something that was written. By the way you are soooo correct that inities, spirits, negative and positive beings don't have to have a door or window opened for them - isn't this part of the reason we smudge anyway? Guest guest Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 I agree, but when there was uncertainly from a fellow member, I was indeed trying to encourage him/her into believing that there need not be a door or window open for the smudging to work. I myself become so deep into the smudging the thicker the smoke, I never know what direction or what path any entity or spirit safe or unsafe moves. I am reaching for well being and a fulfilled life and this so happens when I believe and when faith conducts destiny. I am a Brit, following one of our nature traditions- Druidism.Of course so much is lost we have to re construct our path. I don't think Druids worked with crystals, but as a modern day Druid I am working with them in a way I hope my ancestors would approve of. Basically , I am finding that crystals seem to be " alive " - some even have personalities! I have a girlfriend who only smudges only at New Moon. I believe you have to do what feels right to you. When I smudge I open a window in every room about an inch so the negative spirits can leave. I also open all the cupboards and doors so they can't hide and start in the basement going around the entire room wafting the smoke (never blowing on it) while saying a personal manta. I start at the open window and when I get back to that window I close it and move to the next room or level.
