question about selenite

I more often will see a golden aura around crystals. I also see this around

good of others and are only in it for themselves (often times illegal

ventures).

 

As to the Selenite itself, if I could only have one crystal, I would choose

Selenite. I have a VERY special want that is now in a very delicate state

unfortunately Selenite (especially Smokey Selenite at least for me) is a good

crystal for meeting spirit guides. My special wand is how my primary dragon ally

made his physical presence known to me. I had only had the wand for a couple

of weeks and kept it on my altar. It was in perfect condition with no marks

on it at all. He actually bite the crystal leaving a tooth-marked

impression in the crystal much larger then the mouth of my dog and not in the

shape of

a human bite mark (bite mark is too narrowly rounded and elongated for

human). It was his way of saying hello to me in a manner that was tangible. The

Dragon is also very protective of this wand and of me. I was showing it to my

son many years ago and had mentioned about it's softness. So he being a young

boy of maybe 14 or so, he of course needed to scratch it for himself. The

dragon didn't like this and a small pewter figure of a wizard riding a dragon

then fell on his foot causing him pain. I told him he cause the Dragon's

crystal pain so the Dragon in turned cause him pain.

 

Selenite is also a great crystal for cleansing and charging other crystals

and never needs cleansing itself. Your seeing it glow violet may be telling you

to use it for psychic development/work. you might try using it as a dream

crystal putting it under or beside your pillow. Be careful though as Selenite

is only a 2 on the MOHs hardness scale so easily scratches with a fingernail

and does not take well to being carried with other crystals or to applied

pressure (it can crack or break completely in two).

My reference was strictly about carrying them in the same pouch or wrapping

them together for transport. Selenite works very well in combination with

other crystals, it just needs more gentle handling due to it's soft nature.

Thanks for sharing about Selenite, ReNau. I have been intrigued with the small

tower that came to me a few months ago, and haven't worked with it much but

liked what I read in Melody's book. It's interesting that I have it completely

separate from other crystals. Glad I was listening/perceiving its message to me

that it works better without the help of other stones. I have noticed that when

I hold it, it does flake off a little.

I am glad to know that, as it has been trying to help me with an illness I

have and I wondered if its glowing was making it worn out!

It is getting the star treatment- it lies wrapped up in a towel on my bed or

setee in the day ( as it likes to sleep in the day), and in the night when

it wakes up it is on my bed!

Perhaps, that is for you, your guides and the selenite in question to

determine. I have many pieces of selenite, the Dragon wand is the only one for

that

specific Dragon.

No, more often he sleeps on our staircase coming up to the second floor. One

pagan friend of mine could feel resistance one time when he was coming up

our stairs. The Dragon letting him know he was being watched I suppose ;-) hehe

I thought for certain I had read it in one of Melody's book but I am not

finding it there at all now! I did however find mention of it in Michael's

Gemstone dictionary. It is also listed in Crystal Enchantment (DJ Conway) but

the

way it is worded, it could be taken from Michael's GS dictionary.

 

I am not finding in ANY of the 25 (+?) crystals books I have the information

I *read* about Selenite transmuting negative energy into positive white

light energy or that Smokey Selenite is good for contacting spirit guides. It

is

really strange, unless it is something that came to me in dream-state that

was just THAT real that I remember it as if it was tangible (a real book). This

is really going to bother me now!!! LOL

 

Anyway the information is in some sources, just not where I thought it was.

I've been told that it is not Selenite but Kyanite along with Citrine and

Moldavite that won't hold a negative charge or 'never need clearing'. I've

heard this comment on line before and have not been able to find anything that

indicated that Selenite never needs clearing. This is important to me as this

is a question frequently asked by those purchasing stones.

Any information shared about this by anyone will be appreciated.Selenite

is great for communication issues, especially the Blue, and balancing polarity

and has the unique property of having the energy flow in one direction and not

being able to reverse. People who are drawn to Selenite seem to notice it

instantly energetically even from a distance. It was commonly used as

meditation tool in 60's by some trying to connect with UFO's.

It is wonderful to hear stories of people's personal connections with

the stones.

Your dragon sounds fascinating...

Selenite has been glowing still ( not every nite). It is my recieving hand I

hold it in ..

I forgot to tell you that once it swayed in my hand when it was glowing and

another time it send energy to my heart chakra and I got " blissed out " . I

asked it why it glows, I didn't really hear any reply, just got that it

glows cos its happy._nO
