A fried of mine has really bad migraines, is candida the main cause of migraines? Does someone here have some advice on treatment of migraine? Is colloidal silver the answer? An important aspect of migraine is that a significant percentage of sufferers have a congenital, very tiny opening in the heart that allows antigens to bypass the blood-brain barrier. The danger here is that the small opening allows the potential passing of small clots to the brain, resulting in stroke. The risk of stroke is greater in the population of chronic migraine sufferers due to this. This type of defect can be detected by ultrasound examination of the heart. Test subjects who have this defect patched through a catheter type procedure commonly stop experiencing migraines. It is important that migraine patients are aware of this situation. In lieu of the surgical procedure due diligence toward maintaining a low stroke risk diet seems prudent. Guest guest Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Hi Martie, In my case I blew it with my diet. I'm a new migraine sufferer. Just in the past 18 months and I believe it's due to candida. ND suggested a candida diet in the fall and I have never felt better in my life - lost weight and my skin and hair were radiant! My hubbie said I was looking like I was going backwards in time! After the initial elimination diet I re-introduced wheat and KABAM - migraine right away. So I completely withdrew it from my diet. Except that I cheat every now and again. Migraines every now and then. Last weekend we went to a camp that provided meals and of course they had sandwiches, pizza, cookies, all of which I ate. After the first day I said to my husband " I think I'm gonna throw up and why does my elbow ache and hurt so much? " To which he replied " Duh, you're toxing from the wheat and sugar! " Monday night - start of headache - Tues morning migraine - is it any wonder? I feel like a complete idiot that I would compromise my health in this way but I have learned my lesson. I am quite keen to work with Smoky Quartz but wary as I found wearing it when I was younger would make me quite aggressive. I find that around the full moon I need to take off my moonstone and wear the Laboradite instead. I also love Labradorite and lapis. I wear turquoise frequently as well. I enjoy working with clear and rose quartz and red jasper also recently as well as carnelian. I had a hysterectomy in February and it has been very useful for dealing with out of whack hormones and healing in the area. Laboradite is also useful for very heavy cycles too. I recently found out that the local Whole Foods (which is actually an hour away from me) sells some raw cheese, which has left me a little confused yet quite happy with the idea that I can finally experience raw dairy in SOME form. I am moving to New Mexico in June, which will place me near my niece who has laying chickens. This means I'll have access to free range chicken eggs and (hopefully) a source for raw milk. We'll see! I’m in Texas and we have a cow share, which makes it legal! Kind of crazy to think milk is illegal, it doesn’t give you a buzz like alcohol or alter your state of mind like some drugs (over the counter) can do, yet the dairy lobbyist are stronger than us who are not organized. Anyway I’ll get off my soap box…. Hope you find a supply for yourself it has been the best switch that my family ever did! We own 1/2 a cow share ($100 up front) and pay $28 per month for the boarding fee which allows us 1/2 a share worth of milk each week. And do you milk the cow yourself or is it done by the farmer? Just curious... I am in Washington, MI just outside Romeo and I don't *think* there are any around here. The last I heard there was a farm about 50 miles from whereby the farmer got arrested leaving his farm hauling a truck load of raw milk for distribution. Don't know what ever came of it but it made me think of how stupid it is that they would go to such lengths to stop a farmer from selling a natural milk product but I can walk into any bar in town and drink myself (legally) into alcohol poisoning! As for the cow share program, it would be good idea but it's just too much for me. I am a single person who consumes and uses very little milk/cream/dairy. I live and eat frugally so that also be about 25% of my monthly grocery budget. I recently found out that the local Whole Foods (which is actually an hour away from me) sells some raw cheese, which has left me a little confused yet quite happy with the idea that I can finally experience raw dairy in SOME form. I am moving to New Mexico in June, which will place me near my niece who has laying chickens. This means I'll have access to free range chicken eggs and (hopefully) a source for raw milk.We'll see!
