Could your brain be tipsy?

It seems that over half of my clients these days are taking some sort of anti-depressant or anti-anxiety drug to balance their neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters affect the body, mind, and emotions. When they're out of balance we can feel anxious, stressed, depressed or unable to concentrate.

What we eat affects our neurotransmitter balance. The majority of neurotransmitters are made from amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. Eating adequate protein is essential to the production of neurotransmitters, B-vitamins, magnesium and essential fatty acids are also important for neurotransmitter balance and mood.

Here's a list from Sanesco that gives you some more information on neurotransmitters---what they are and what they do.
