Guest guest
Hi Keith, I am *not* an expert about diabetes in any way. However, I was chatting with Gene Monson (he makes and sells the EasySprouter) and he told me an interesting story. He moved in with his elderly mother years ago because she needed extra care. She was a diabetic. He said he'd move in on one condition, that she eat sprouts, and she agreed. He said he put 1/2 cup of fresh, homemade sprouts in her warm oatmeal each morning. By day 3 she went into insulin shock, and had to be dropped from seventy-something units to 30 units. By the end of the week, she was at 10 units. By the end of two weeks she no longer required insulin. You can look him up at www.sproutamo.com and phone him yourself if you'd like the story firsthand, in case I quoted him wrong here. He's a very nice man. I can't recall which type of sprouts he says he used, but he did say if he did it today he'd use buckwheat sprouts, which he swears by. Hey, whatever you do, please monitor yourself carefully, and I'd sure try the sprouts anyway just because they're so darned good for you. Good luck to you!
