Guest guest
I am from Texas and I am sure this state is not alone. We DO get referrals from Dr.'s and Chiropractors! We can and do accept insurance and medicade/medicare. I hope you all check with the health department of your respective states and see if they recognize massage therapy as a member of the health care field and therefore able to accept prescriptions. One of these days we'll get them to catch up to the 21st century with the rest of us! For the first time in several months, I could take a deep breath. I lost almost 45 pounds before my stomach was pulled down and I could then start eating and breathing again. So to the massage therapists out there, Thank you and God bless. Guest guest
Hi David! Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't referring to laws stating that they don't recognize Massage Therapy, I was referring to going to a Massage Therapist in general. Alot of Insurance companies won't recognize or pay for the services unless referred by the attending physician or chiropractor. They are becoming progressively better, but not as quickly as alot of us would like to see! Thanks for making me re-read what I wrote! Guest guest
That is perfectly aright, my friend. I am all for your stance. The importance may well be squelched by the med. and pharm. lobbies. Both are very rich and very powerful. I do believe that (much to the doctors chagrin) it will gradually become more and more mainstream. And you are oh so right, however, they promote OTHER wellness programs. So I am with you!Keith Wyrick <kawman611 wrote: Hi David!
