Guest guest
Lisa, The information I know of is what you already know..maybe. Of course steam...sit in a steamy bathroom with her. Eucalyptus near by may help..but be careful she could be allergic to it. There is a remedy of baking an onion with sugar...look for a recipe on the net...it should be there..and should help. For cough...honey of course I would be feeding her things that fight colds. like onion if she will, mushrooms, dark berries. I always drink hot lemon water...wow ..that helps colds! Good Luck, HArrietaammom615 <aammom615 wrote: Help!! Guest guest
Hi Lisa, Your daughter’s immune system is not allowing her to stave off the attacks and asthma is generally auto-immune (Body attacking itself because the immune system is over stimulated or not properly communicating). The basis of the immune response should be to respond appropriately. Just this weekend I attended a wellness seminar where the educator presented some great logic that says if you have an auto-immune issue (over stimulated immune system) taking steroids or other immune suppressing components you actually may render yourself susceptible to health challenges of an under-stimulated immune system (examples would be HIV, infections, viruses, SARS, bird flu, etc). So the logical answer is to add to the body those components that assist the body to begin modulating and regulating its own immune system, NOT raising it or lowering it. It raises when it needs and it lowers when it needs by itself. Most western diets are void of the nutrients we once got for the body to do this. Our cells are literally starving for the proper nutritional components. No amount of vitamins, minerals, essential oils or fatty acids can provide this support. Glyconutrients, a very specialized class of nutrients, can help the body recover its ability to modulate its own immune defense and regulation system. Read and hear several highly respected doctors discuss the implications and results of Glyconutrients at www.GotGlyco.com I can send you additional science or life experience information privately when you want to learn more. Holiday Blessings to you and yours. Stan Crane 303-360-0100 stancrane www.GotGlyco.com On Behalf Of aammom615 Saturday, December 17, 2005 7:46 AM Croup (4-year-old) Help!! Guest guest
Oh, how many nights I've sat next to a steaming shower or driven around with the car windows down (which seemed to work best). My son seemed to get croup regularly at about that same age. I'll never forget the sound of that cough. Like a barking seal. Pretty scarey stuff! Still, considering that this 4 year old has " severe asthma " , this is not to be taken lightly. Clinically, croup (laryngo tracheo broncho bronchiolitis) has been considered as either " spasmodic " or " viral " in origin. In truth, there is often overlap, with a mild viral illness setting up the airway for eosinophilis action. This occurs in the larynx and trachea in croup, the bronchi in asthma. Prevention is the key. Keeping a strong immune system, avoiding possible allergens like corn, wheat and dairy, etc. will help to avoid the croup altogether and keep this little one breathing well. All the best, Michelle The information I know of is what you already know..maybe. Of course steam...sit in a steamy bathroom with her. Guest guest
Hi Michelle, Thanks very much.....this darn croup turned into an ear infection. Never fails! Poor little thing! I hate this asthma and all that comes with it. I feel so bad for my kids. I wish there was something I could do for them without all these drugs they have to take (steroids, inhalers, antibiotics). Thanks again for your help! Have a very happy holiday and be well!!Blessings, LisaMichelle <N2LivinWell wrote: Oh, how many nights I've sat next to a steaming shower or driven around with the car windows down (which seemed to work best). Guest guest
20.12.05 i do not know whether people will believe that asthama, bronchitis, cough etc can be easily cleared with the use of indian yogic hand postures called mudras. it normally should not take more than 1 month and if done thereafter, it may not come at all. they are non-invasive, no meds. just correcting the imbalance of 5 elements with which the body is made of. in this group i have given linga mudra which is excellant for cough and cold. if people are serious, i can upload asthama and bronchitis mudra which are very easy to perform even by a child. those really interested in med free natural treatment can go through the 10 page article in the mudra folder explaining some of the basis of its scientific working. the main article which is in the e-books is aorund 19 pages. ling mudra can reduce coughing within 4-5 days at least to the extent of 50%. try & share. if required i shall upload the other 2 mudras also. it is a natural cure. 4000 nerves originate from fingers going to different parts of the body. mudras may appear similar to accupressure - both use the body`s meridian system for clearing stagnant energy. with light & love d.k.kothari DK_Holistic_Healing/ - " Michelle " <N2LivinWell Tuesday, December 20, 2005 8:22 PM Re: Croup (4-year-old) > Oh, how many nights I've sat next to a steaming shower or driven > around with the car windows down (which seemed to work best).
