Guest guest
http://www.savedrclark.net/safetynet.htm Opinion by Tim Bolen If You're Here Reading This Web Page... ....because you just got the shock of your life - someone telling you that " there is nothing that can be done for you, or your loved one, " then there are some things you need to know, particularly if DEATH is inconvenient for you at this time... You need to get more information - and you need to get it FAST. (1) about that statement . " there is nothing that can be done... " Is the organization telling you this saying that they just won't spend the money? Are they telling you that the services THEY offer won't help the situation? And, more... (2) what other resources are available - including what is known as " alternative medicine " options both within and outside the United States.. (3) You need to realize that the licensed health professional who made that statement to you may be RESTRICTED by law from telling you certain things. In some cases, they can be jailed for using, or even suggesting, other options. In California, for instance, there is a STUPID law, making it a FELONY to treat cancer with anything other than chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Those Tijuana, Mexico cancer clinics aren't there for the cheap rent, and the ambience. (4) There is a HUGE time lag between new findings and " approved use " in medicine. And, the approval process is terribly expensive. Few can afford it. There is no easy way for those in dire straits to avail themselves of the new processes. (5) The SAFETY NET. Our system of " approved procedures " is our society's way of protecting us with a safety net. There are no guidelines on what to do when the safety net is anything but... Personally, I abandoned the " safety net " a long time ago. I wanted, and needed, REAL health care. So, I went out and found it... In California there is a saying " You get better health advice where you get your hair cut, then you do from your doctor Decision Time? Why would anyone abandon the safety net we've set up in health care? We've set up a system in North America whereby we TEST health care items and procedures, carefully, and thoroughly - our " safety net. " Although there are holes in the system - the occasional drug that turns out to have far more side effects than we originally thought - basically the system works. So why do Americans regularly step outside the boundaries of a system that they, themselves set up? Why do we try new things that have clearly, and obviously, not been subjected to rigorous testing? The answer is simple, and horrible in it's realization. Often, to stay within the system means DEATH, or worse... Too many Americans find out the hard way, that the conventional health care offering in North America has failed in almost every respect except Emergency Medicine. For disease, or chronic illness, they have little, or nothing, to offer. In fact, they often intentionally mislead us with the suggestion of a new cure, or a new remedy. But the American public, as a whole, has been misled far too often by conventional medicine to trust it, as an institution, any more. Marcus Welby is dead. To Stay Within the System Means DEATH? The American Public, in general, has found out what millions of Cancer victims, AIDS victims, MS, Chronic Fatigue, Gulf War, etc., etc., victims have found out about conventional " proven " health care - it's expensive, it's bullshit, it wastes your time, and consumes your resources. For instance, we, as North Americans trusted our medical institutions to conduct " The War on Cancer. " The cancer bureaucracy has taken our money, and constantly lied to us about " cures, that were right around the corner. " Despite the billions of dollars, we as a society entrusted them with, the only ones who gained from " The War " were those on the receiving end of those dollars. Death, or Worse?... What could be worse than death? If you don't know the answer to that question, than you don't have a cancer or AIDS victim in your family. With conventional approaches to cancer, not only do you get to die, but you get to be horribly mutilated during the process - and you have to use your life's savings to pay for it - leaving little or nothing for your survivors, except unpaid medical bills. Victims of chronic disease not only suffer the disability, but are insulted with claims that " their illness is all in their heads. " inferring that their illness is made up, that they are, in fact, insane. The Solution? Here is my advice to you. Remember, I'm not a health professional: Do your own research. Find your own support group - exchange information. Don't waste any time. Get moving. Take control of your own health future. Get your hair cut in California.
