Guest guest
I have lurked for a while on list and now I find I need some advice, I live in the UK so some of the alternatives available abroad arent here, I have been on a course of Amoxyxillin for a infected tooth root, very painful indeed. It has left me with a rash, sore bottom and feeling very run down and I would like to know if anyone here knows of an alternative remedy to use as a pick me up, something that will help me get over this and hopefully give me some energy as I am soo tired at moment all I want is sleep. Thankyou Hellen
Guest guest
Dear Helen, Fortunately, this is a no brainer and easily solved. I am sure many people on this list will tell you the same thing. You need PRO biotics. Your intestinal flora has been wiped out by the anti biotics. The good little beasties without whom we cannot enjoy good health need to be replenished. I recommend a visit to the best website on this subject: http://natren.com to learn about all that Probiotics can do for you. I am saving my typing fingers, lol. Read about it there, and then visit your local health food store for a good broad spectrum probiotic. It should be in the fridge. Now, WHY don't doctors automatically prescribe probiotics to be taken right after a course of anti biotics? My respect for the medical profession will go up immensely once that is the case. The occasional doctor will mumble something about eating some yoghurt, but omits to make it clear that the yoghurt should be unadulterated with sugar, coloring, etc. At any rate, yoghurt is good for maintaining, but you need more than that. Since Probiotics play a role in B vitamin metabolism, you might benefit from a good whole food supplement that is high in Bs as well. My favorite is wild bluegreen algae, which has it all, but that may be hard to find in the UK. Anyway, that gives you plenty to start with! Do let us know you are doing in a while!
