Guest guest
Melly, Thanks for your suggestions. Regarding the pineapple juice - how many ounces of it would you suggest drinking a day to keep blood pressure under control? I am not yet in the " official " high blood pressure range, but it seems to be creeping up there. I want to add that I have been severely hypoglycemic years ago, but my blood sugar is fairly normal now...but I know that hypoglycemics can be vulnerable to diabetes, so I want to be careful here about drinking too much pineapple juice. I had read the same thing (about lowering blood pressure) using apple cider vinegar in water, with a teaspoon of raw honey. Janet -- In , Melly Bag <tita_mel wrote: To keep blood pressure low: (1) Drink lots of water; (2) Do not you table salt but use sea salt. Use only a very tiny pinch. Salt raises bp; (3) Drink moringa tea, it really keeps my bp lower now. You can buy fresh/frozen from Asian markets. Also known as Drumstick. Scientific name is moringa oleifera. (4) And here is a good surprise: If you are not diabetic, take " natural " pineapple juice. canned with no sweeterners added. This dramatically lowers bp to normal when high. Lemonade without sugar might do it too, though i never tried that yet. Pineapple i've tried and it does work. Take this only when bp is high because tropical fruits are very high in sugar which can make you diabetic if taken everyday. Pineapple is also good in bringing up blood glucose when hypoglycemic. Two tablespoons of it is enough to raise blood sugar to normal from a 70 reading. Melly
Guest guest
I eat raw garlic everyday at lunch time. I get 3 or 4 raw cloves of organic Garlic and pop them into my mouth and chew them up quickly and swallow with tea or water. Sounds crazy but it gets it down quick! Kelly srp2 wrote: I eat raw garlic every morning and every night. I usually eat a banana to take my herb capsules and garlic, but use what I have when I'm out. Guest guest
Encapsulating works well for things that are hard to take, but I wouldn't use too many capsules as these are hard on your body to digest and can 'gunk' up your system. Guest guest
Janet i only take the pineapple juice whenever my bp is above normal range. I don't suggest you ingest pineapple juice as it is terribly high in sugar. Two tablespoons would bring my blood glucose up by 20-30 points. Say it is a low 70, if i take two tablespoons it would go to 100. I recently took extra medication plus my herbal tea that lowers blood sugar and i made the mistake of adding fenugreek powder, and my blood sugar dove down to 69 and i drank two whole cans with one hour interval because i could not sustain the normal level. I had to take bread and crackers. But the next morning, my blood glucose shot so high up to 258 after eating breakfast of asparagus, chia seeds and two strawberries. This is still a reaction from the pineapple juice because this breakfast i took is what i take everyday and did not make my blood sugar go up. Guest guest
No worries mate. Garlic has got your back. Organic Solutions, Inc. Volume 8 – Issue 8 G a r l i c If I was only allowed to use one herb, that herb would be raw, organic Garlic!!! When it comes to Colds, Flu, Viruses, Parasites, Inflammation, Warts, Fungi and Plagues, Garlic is Nature’s Antibiotic. Garlic kills Urinary Tract Infections and inhibits Leukemia. It reduces Blood Sugar and is the best herb there is for regulating Blood Pressure. Four cloves of Garlic every day will eventually and permanently bring down a High Blood Pressure Condition. Garlic kills and expels worms. It increases insulin production. Garlic works great on Kidney Infections and dramatically lowers Cholesterol. It has been proven in numerous lab studies to destroy Cancer and break up tumors. Garlic has been used as a strength builder and has been highly respected throughout history in numerous cultures as a food used to increase Health and Energy. This herb is vital in helping to remove heavy metals from the body. Garlic has 77 different sulfur compounds and replaces many antibiotics, kills Bacteria, and works great on Strep Throat. If you stink when taking Garlic, this is only your body getting rid of toxins: Garlic + Toxin = Stink. When the toxins are all gone, so is the stink. Should your eyes water when cooking with Garlic or Onions, this is actually very beneficial. The properties that make your eyes water, actually cleanse and kill eye infections. Garlic is great for just about every condition. Growing Garlic This great Herb is easy to grow and is the best organic Pest Repellent you can have in your Garden. Growing it interspersed throughout your yard will keep away unwanted visitors. In the fall, plant cloves with the tips pointing up, four inches deep, and six inches apart in direct sun. Watch them pop up in the spring and harvest when the tops start to turn brown. Hang them in bundles or braids in a dry place. Next year plant the biggest cloves to keep improving the strain, and then eat the littler ones. A garden without Garlic is . . . just not a garden :-) The Garlic Game: When everybody in the house is sniffling, coughing and blowing their noses constantly, its time to play the Garlic Game. First you get the game materials together. Every player needs: One large glass of water and a handful of peeled Garlic cloves. Spin a clove to see who goes first. Player 1 puts one clove of Garlic in their mouth and chews as fast as he/she can, then swallows it down with a sip of water. Player 2 does the same. The first one to refuse Garlic loses and has to eat 3 cloves or stay sick as a penalty. Who ever eats the most Garlic wins. Anyone who eats an entire bulb is the ultimate winner. However, I do recommend you have some food in your stomach before playing this game. You may think that chewing raw Garlic is intense, and hard to do, but try it. It’s not as bad as you think, and no where near as intense as the Chili Pepper Contest. :-) WHITE SALSA Nature’s Anti-biotic 1/3 cup raw Garlic cloves 1/3 cup raw White Onion 1/3 cup raw Horseradish 1/3 cup raw Ginger Root 1/2 cup raw Apple Cider Vinegar 1/8th Hot Pepper cut–1/8th pepper or to taste Do not stir with a silver spoon. Mixture will turn green. Peel garlic cloves and put them in a blender. Peel and cut onion in half and then into quarters and toss into blender. Wash horseradish and ginger root and cut 1/4 inch circles and place in blender. Toss in the piece of hot pepper and pour the apple cider vinegar over the blender contents and blend to a thick applesauce consistency. Add more apple cider vinegar if needed to blend. Should your salsa end up too watery, then strain off some of the vinegar and use it on a salad. Do not allow this mixture to contact silver. Store in a pint jar. Refrigeration is not required but you can keep it in the fridge if you like it cold. Eat as a condiment or dip. A number of people have told me they really like to use it as a salad dressing. Some of you who have made Total Tonic will recognize this recipe. Yes this is nature’s anti-biotic as well as a delicious food. Its anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties will keep you healthy and if you do feel an illness coming on, we recommend taking a spoonful of White Salsa every hour until your symptoms have disappeared. To make Total Tonic follow the above recipe except pour the apple cider vinegar just over the top of the blender contents and blend. Your Total Tonic will be the thickness of a thin gravy. Put the Total Tonic in a jar and shake several times a day for 14 days. At the end of the 14 days, you can strain off the liquid and you have Total Tonic. Whenever possible, make your Total Tonic on a New Moon and press it on a Full Moon. This practice is an ancient one and ensures the most potent results. I personally think that this particular formula is stronger when it is first made and mellows with age. We recommend that you have at least a pint on hand at all times so make it often! We call it Nature's Antibiotic. Garlic increases the activity of white blood cells and T-helper cells (natural killer cells), the cells that are central to the activity of the entire immune system. Garlic is a potent antioxidant and is currently being studied by the National Cancer Institute as it may be effective in fighting stomach, skin and colon cancer. Garlic bulbs contain the amino acid allicin. Warning: Using Garlic externally can burn the skin if left on too long. If you have a wart and want it naturally removed you can cut a piece of Garlic to the same size of the wart , hold it on with a band aid, leave it on overnight, take the band aid off during the day to give it some air and repeat the process every night until Natures Antibiotic has made the wart disappears or fall off. Garlic keeps Vampires away. No just kidding. :-) From what I know of Vampires, Garlic won't help much but Garlic is great for keeping other blood sucking critters away such as Fleas, Ticks and Mosquitoes. Dogs and Cats won't get fleas and ticks if they are eating lots of FRESH Garlic and have a good diet. ( Doc's Total Pet Nutrition ) Eating fresh Garlic once a day will keep most of the Mosquitoes away from you. I never get bit except when I don't consume Garlic. Garlic can make you gag if you eat a lot and this is where Ginger comes in. Ginger calms the stomach and is really good for talking the gag reflex away from Garlic. Make a Ginger-Garlic-Horseradish-Onion-Cilantro-Turmeric-Cayenne tincture to make the Total Tonic that is part of Doc's Total Body Cleanse. Good for virtually any disease or infection. Improves circulation, maintains healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels. A natural antibiotic and immune system stimulant. ~ > > > >

Guest guest
Hey Trina! It worked Great!Actually, what surprised me was the strong flavor of the CELERY!I'd expected the garlic to overpower everything, it didn't, you could tell the garlic was there, but not overpowering. i put in a scoop of protein powder and Powdered Greens to quell the strong taste of the celery. I'm good now. I also found out if i add a few nuts and more blueberries to that mixture it gives it almost a *smoothie " consistency. That's wonderful! I'm going for 3-4 times solidly a week and see how things progress.Arnold On Wed, Apr 15, 2009 at 5:37 AM, Trina <miiitymous wrote: SSOOOOO....how was it???Trina --- On Fri, 3/27/09, AC Tins <pulzebiz wrote: AC Tins <pulzebizRe: {Herbal Remedies} High Blood Pressure herbal remedies Date: Friday, March 27, 2009, 8:14 AM oops.. hope I didn't scare everyone off... Guest guest
I am sure others will be along to tell you what has worked for them, but the blood pressure medication should be the last resort. I am sure others will agree to try the alternative treatments first. My husband had great success in reversing the high bp with apple cider vinegar, then used the red yeast rice supplement as well as cinnamon bark. He has maintained a consistant and steady normal blood pressure after using these items consistantly for a few months, now he has cut back on the supplements and is still maintaining a normal blood pressure reading. From what I observe every day at our healing centre, I feel use of refined and treated eatables could be an important factor, particularly those facing obesity and high blood pressure together. Most of us do not appreciate the ill effects of stress, it is good to have some mean to counter that in this so called 'modern' life. Spare time to visit www.relaxationunderstanding.blogspot.com Meditation and fasting can also help a lot. Try visiting www.naturalunderstanding.blogspot.com Natural Healing has been of great help to many, see if you find that helpful and interesting, visit www.viewunderstanding.blogspot.com Feel free to write to me for any discussion on Natural Healing or Natural Health, if I can be of any help. Wishing Natural Health and Higher Spirituality, Deepak devil.tas Thu, 7 May 2009 05:56:19 +1000 high blood pressure I am concerned over the recent change to what was always my perfectly normal blood pressure to now having high blood pressure. I just don't understand this because I have always had good blood pressure. I am a person who does not like treating a symptom without finding the cause of the problem but this does concern me so I think I will see my Dr and organise for medication to control it while I investigate the possible causes. Would anyone here know of any major reasons for the change? And no I am NOT stressed ( but I will be if this high blood pressure continues). Yes I am over-weight (about 20lbs or so) at the moment but am taking steps to correct that as well, and I am active, on the go all day - gardening, walking, at work etc. Only time I really stop is of an even when i sit down to watch TV before going to bed. I FEEL great! Which is why I just can't understand the change in my blood pressure. Hoping someone can give me some thoughts or ideas I could act upon to control this problem. cheers Lyndall _______________ Drag n’ drop—Get easy photo sharing with Windows Live™ Photos. http://www.microsoft.com/india/windows/windowslive/photos.aspx
Guest guest
First, You need to do several tests with different blood pressure monitor. The new digital apparatus are not accurate and the calibration from one company to another one vary enormously !! Next just by switching you table salt to " dulse algae " should take care of your blood pressure. You can also change your diet get well. You have many natural ways to bring your blood pressure done. This is one of the easiest thing to do with nutrition. ABOUT DRUGS : Diuretic Use For High Blood Pressure: What They Don’t Tell You “Numerous prospective randomized trials have documented that diuretic-based therapy is effective in reducing morbidity and mortality in hypertensive patients.†Messerli FH, Grossman E, Goldbourt U. Does diuretic therapy increase the risk of renal cell carcinoma? Am J Cardiol. 1999;83:1090–1093 What is more troubling is when they falsely report results that don’t follow from data, and keep the data secret so nobody can check. This is what happened with the Framingham blood pressure studies and after some legitimate scientists (as opposed to MD’s) got the data under the Freedom of Information Act they published it (Lancet, jan 15 of this year) and it is clear that most treatment for hypertension over the last 20 or 30 years has been See : http://www.jmbblog.com/coronary-heart-disease-best-kept-secrets-part-3-drugs/
Guest guest
Thanks for that. Don't worry I will not be resorting to medication unless I cannot avoid it. I bought from our Health Food Store the other some Hawthorn Heart Support tabs and I already use Apple Cider Vinegar. I also take Flax Seed Oil, and Fish Oil but am not taking any at the moment. I also purchased a digital blood pressure monitor so I could take my own blood pressure and well the first couple of tests with it absolutely freaked me out!! I quite literally panicked because according to the monitor my blood pressure had gone through the roof!!! My neighbour had come over for a chat and we got to talking about the monitor and we tried hers also, it was way off as she had just had her own done by the Dr so she knew what it should be. I myself went around to the Health Clinic and got my blood pressure checked again and took with me my own monitor. Lo and behold my pressure was absolutely NORMAL!! *whew!* what a relief that was! As it turns out I had used the monitor incorrectly so it was giving false readings. What a relief! cheers Lyndall - " Roxanne Grubb " <roxgrubb Thursday, May 07, 2009 1:17 PM Re: high blood pressure I am sure others will be along to tell you what has worked for them, but the blood pressure medication should be the last resort. Guest guest
Many of the midlife women I work with have experienced elevated blood pressure. Remember, your blood pressure constantly changes. Avoid fear and worry which only makes matters worse. Meditation, EFT, deep breathing, positive visualization, and a good attitude etc. along with dietary changes and exercise are proactive approaches. Here's some good information. I hope you find it helpful. Michelle http://www.HolisticMenopause.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A temporary rise in your blood pressure probably shouldn't generate much concern, but a sudden and dramatic rise in blood pressure that continues for more than several days or weeks usually requires careful medical attention. Your blood pressure is constantly changing, depending on your activity, your position, your mental state, and even the time of day (blood pressure is lowest during deep sleep, but often peaks during the early morning hours). Two blood pressure measurements taken even minutes apart may be different by 20 points or more, especially if you relax, or exercise, or drink a cup of coffee or smoke a cigarette. That said, a series of blood pressure measurements taken at the same time of day, while you are seated and relaxed, should cluster in the same 10- to 20-point bracket. Your systolic blood pressure — the " top " number — may vary more than your diastolic or " bottom " blood pressure reading. If you or your doctor note a single high blood pressure reading, it usually makes sense to simply repeat a second or third reading before becoming concerned. Often the blood pressure will return to normal, especially if you are given a chance to relax. If the immediate follow-up readings don't improve, your doctor may still recommend a series of readings taken over several days before recommending treatment. It's important to realize that anything short of very high readings — for example, greater than 220/110 — is unlikely to cause damage in the short term. In fact, using powerful drugs that lower blood pressure too quickly can often cause more harm than good. What if your blood pressure has always been normal, but then rises over a short period and stays elevated? This can signal an important medical cause for your high blood pressure, including: Side effects from certain drugs (both prescription and " street " drugs such as cocaine and amphetamines) Conditions where the body produces too much of certain hormones Narrowing of the blood flow to the kidneys, or other types of kidney disease Certain complications of pregnancy Under these circumstances, your doctor will often begin a medical evaluation to find a cause for your elevated blood pressure at the same time that treatment is begun. Guest guest
For women only, taking B12 is the answer. The simplest and best method seems to be sublingual (under the tongue) tablets one per day. Too bad it doesn't work for men, but an excess of estrogen seems to be our culture problem. It does work on virtually all women.
