This Dr. quoted is misinformed, Because flaxseed and flaxseed oil is nutitious it will spoil like other nutritious food ----- But it has a life more like a walnut. It will spoil in a year in a swarm place sooner if exposed to light. I do not believe " Erasmus " because actual tests do not confirm his writing.
