Guest guest
CHELATION PESTO Coriander (cilantro) has been proven to chelate toxic metals from our bodies in a relatively short period of time. Combined with the benefits of the other ingredients, this recipe is a powerful tissue cleanser. Two teaspoons of this pesto daily for three weeks is purportedly enough to increase the urinary excretion of mercury, lead and aluminum, thus effectively removing these toxic metals from our bodies. We can consider doing this cleanse for three weeks at least once a year. The pesto is delicious on toast, baked potatoes, and pasta. Ingredients 4 cloves garlic 1/3 cup Brazil nuts (selenium) 1/3 cup sunflower seeds (cysteine) 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds (zinc, magnesium) 2 cups packed fresh coriander (cilantro, Chinese parsley) (vitamin A) 2/3 cup flaxseed oil (I have also used olive oil) 4 tablespoons lemon juice (vitamin C) 2 tsp dulse powder Sea salt to taste Process the coriander and flaxseed oil in a blender until the coriander is chopped. Add the garlic, nuts and seeds, dulse and lemon juice and mix until the mixture is finely blended into a paste. Add a pinch of sea salt to taste and blend again. Store in dark glass jars if possible. It freezes well, so purchase coriander in season and fill enough jars to last through the year.
Guest guest
Dulse is a type of seaweed. Having since read things here about " difficulties " with flaxseed oil I would say to use any cold-pressed organic oil you can find or like! (Search the messages to find stuff on flaxseed oil) Best, Jane - " dak_72560 " <dak_72560 Dear Jane, Thank you for sharing this " recipe " . I am new to the group and I wanted to ask if I could use Extra Virgin Olive instead of flaxseed oil? I live in a very small rural area and would probably have to drive at least 90 miles to obtain organic flaxseed oil. Also, what is dulse? Please pardon my ignorance as I am still learning. Guest guest
Hello: The Flax seed oil is rich in the omegas 3-6 and 9 much more than the olive oil. Guest guest
Will it work without the dulse? I'm Anaphylaxis allergic to sea items. I'm also allergic to flax oil but I can use olive oil. Guest guest
The cilantro is the main thing - I think the items specify their uses - use which ever oil you can tolerate, do sea items include seaweed? Be careful - just use what you know you are safe with. Jane - T M Tuesday, May 19, 2009 5:30 AM Re: Detox Recipe Will it work without the dulse? I'm Anaphylaxis allergic to sea items. Guest guest
www.omeganutrition.com has wonderful oils, including flax. Don't ever buy an oil in a clear bottle. They are very vulnerable to light. You are throwing your money away and putting poison down your throat. Flax oil must be kept refrigerated and consumed quickly; never heated; it is very delicate. Don't buy more than you can use in a few weeks (it does freeze just fine, so you can buy more and freeze some of it). You could also add fresh ground flax seeds to this recipe, which would be even better for you. You grind them in a coffee grinder and eat immediately: they oxidize very quickly. Don't waste your money on pre-ground flax. Most of what's good for you has been ruined by the time you get it. I have no financial interest in omega nutrition; I just happen to use some of their products. Guest guest
You need to be careful with cilantro and chlorella. In some people they have a tendency to re-arrange the metals. Their hold is not strong enough, and they end up dropping the metals in other parts of your body. The more metals you have the riskier chelation is. I tried cilantro tincture once and it totally re-aaranged my metals. You will know if this happens to you. Your joints may get achier or your hair fall out or you may get some flu like symptoms. If you feel you are very metal toxic, you should find a good naturopath to guide you through the process.
