Guest guest
Thanks Attilio, the site looks great. Just joined and looking forward to the first issue. Just wondering if you'll have anything on Abdominal Acu (fu zhen)?. I too have studied with Bai Yu Lan in Beijing, and think any literature on her technique would be great. Good luck, E. Guest guest
Hi Even When were you with Dr Bai? She was amazing eh? Apart from the interview i did with Dr Bo on his abdominal acupuncture invention which was published in Acupuncture Today, i'm working on a larger article that will go into more detail on the nuts and bolts of it. Should be out some time this year. I hadn't thought of writing anything on Dr Bai. Her style was so unique i wouldn't know where to start. I also think there's alot i don't understand about what she was doing. After speaking to others that studied with her, they say she used so many needles to hide the ones that worked. I don't know...i got some good practice though! Attilio www.chinesemedicinetimes.com , " eranee " <eranee wrote: > > Thanks Attilio, the site looks great. Guest guest
Hey Attilio, I was with Dr. Bai from february-september 2005. She is pretty amazing. Not sure when you were there but she seems to be heading towards retirement these days, and working lots less. There definitely seemed to be lots going on some days in regard to her treatment style, and took a while to digest and make sense of, but altogether worth it. She is a great teacher and it was really good practice. Looking forward to the fu zhen writings. Eran Even Vancouver, BC --- <attiliodalberto wrote: Hi Even When were you with Dr Bai? Guest guest
Hi Eran, I was there in the summer of 2004. She was talking about retiring then, but i don't think she will, she likes what she does too much. Until of course, she's completely drained. It was only in that room did i witness some amazing results using acupuncture. Shame there's not more like her in China. I believe it's her daughter that does the weight loss acupuncture on a variation of Fu Zhen. This is the protocol i recently talked about. Guest guest
Hey Attilio, Your probably right, I couldn't imagine Dr. Bai Stopping what she loves to do. Her daughter Li, is doing lots of her load now. She wasn't doing too much of the weight loss stuff when i was there, but did do a few. Just lots and lots of mian tan and zhong feng. As for my training, I also believe that i saw acupunctures incredible potential mainly in that room. Great experience. Take care, Eran > > ________ Find your next car at http://autos..ca

Location: College of Integrated , Reading. May-July 2006 Ilkay Zihni Chirali, leading exponent of cupping therapy in the UK, will give treatments, weekly, to 20-25 patients with inflammatory conditions. Blood plasma markers of inflammatory conditions will be measured from samples taken before, during and after treatment. It is hoped that this trial will provide substantial evidence for the mechanisms by which cupping therapy can act in such disorders and hence boost its acceptance as a valid and mainstream treatment in the UK. Do you know of anyone who may be interested to participate in this study or who could benefit from the treatment (which will be free)? Subjects should: -Have an inflammatory disorder (this can be newly diagnosed or long term condition. However, if subjects are taking medication, this must be stable) - Have asthma, or a chronic musculoskeletal or other inflammatory disorder. - Not have received cupping, acupuncture or herbs for at least 3 months. -Be aged 18 years or more.
