Guest guest
HI, I had chronic fatique syndrome for several years. Guest guest
Dani: Have you done a Google search for the keywords you mentioned, to see if anyone has audiovisual samples for Feldenkreis or Alexander? I don't know of any audiovisual materials for Reiki, but I do know of several sites that give distant attunements, and that would be a good beginning for you if you don't have a Reiki Master near you to do the attunements in person (which I always prefer). Where is the site you mentioned, with the mini videos of meditations and aromatherapy, etc? You did not send a link. (Offside to Karyn... this looks like a call for more audio offerings from your instructors at Seekers Circle, eh? I am sure there are other folks here who might consider doing something similar with their meditations or techniques for introduction purposes... how about your husband's Tai Chi, Connie?) Guest guest
Hi Celeste: I'm so glad your feeling better. Many people have allergies to wheat, but the most recent info aside from allergies that I have heard is in the " Eat Right 4 Your Type " book, which talks about the type " 0 " blood type who cannot handle wheat products because it acts nearly like a glu in thier systems. He talks quite alot about it in this book. You may find it interesting. He also stresses that type " 0 " 's are the only type who can handle eating meat, others don't do as well with meat in thier diets. I found the book very interesting, especially from an anthrapologic point of view of how the different blood types evolved thru history. Type " 0 " being the oldest, and AB the newest. As far as specific allergies, I guess you can be allergic to just about anything, including yourself. Guest guest
When you mention CFS, you open a can of worms. I'm constantly investigating this phenomenon, both on the Internet and in person with various associates and clients. There is an excellent one-way research list, which is international and has provided a great deal of useful information. A lot of that information is highly technical -- i've often had to grab the medical dictionary when reading posts. In general, no herbs have consistently proven to be effective against CFS. That's probably because CFS does not appear to be a single condition with a single point of origin. Also, many of us, myself included, believe that a large number of these cases had an environmental origin. It is probable that many of these cases involve complex interactions between chemicals and individual metabolic reactions. Therefore, any help or cure would have to be highly individualized. When the first diagnosis I was given was "Chronic Mono" waaaaaaaaaaay in the beginning.... I was told.. to rest.. why? they didn't know what else to say.. When I am very toxic my CFS symptoms meaning extreme fatigue ... viral episodes and inflammation all flare-up. When I find the cause of what is poisoning my system and eliminate it.. I in turn eliminate the symptoms...and work on repair through natural healing. It is a process. I hope you read my post on CFS...and it is helpful. Best Wishes.. Guest guest
Stephanie, I can't tolerate flax seed oil in any form. I've tried the oil (from three different companies, all guaranteed re: refrigeration) and also the seeds ground up. I know of other people as well who for some reason have bad reactions (usually digestive). There are other sources of Omega 3, though, so you might consider a search for those sources that might work for you. Good luck, Claire
Guest guest
Stephanie- I rarely post on the lists, but couldn't resist responding to your message. I just want to suggest that you consider Lyme disease and be very thorough in your investigations. Many people who do have lyme spend years misdiagnosed with all sorts of autoimmune diseases, arthritic conditions, etc. In addition, the testing for lyme is extremely tricky with many false negatives. I would suggest you try to find a lyme literate physician to see, especially if your other docs aren't giving you good answers. Rheumatologists are usually not the best doctors to talk to about a possible lyme infection, but many patients land up there for years. The confusion about the Parvo B19 virus, Lupus, and an undiagnosed arthritic condition is what led me to write you regarding possible Lyme. If you need help finding a doctor, I'm sure some of the people on the lyme lists can help you if I can't. Just contact me off list if necessary.. BTW, quark and cottage cheese are not exactly the same things. Quark can be hard to find in parts of the US, but most people taking Dr. Budwig's protocol use low-fat cottage mixed well with their flax seed oil. Good luck. Lainie - clownofgod Gettingwell Thursday, December 12, 2002 8:24 AM Intro and Question Hello. A friend of mine suggested that I look into GettingWell, so I joined this list about a week ago and have been reading. Figured it was time to introduce myself and to ask for help in finding good, and hopefully positive information on auto-immune disorders in particular. . I decided to come into the conversation at the mention of the Flax oil, which I was taking for a week, but in a smoothie. I stopped it because of the horrible stomach aches it caused, which lasted for hours afterward each time. Will taking it in the cottage cheese (This is called Quark, right?) help? Also, all helpful info on lupus type disorders would be appreciated greatly. Thanks, Stephanie
Guest guest
Hi, I am also new to this list, but not to the use of Flaxseed Oil and Cottage cheese. I have now used it for eleven and a half years in combatting cancer. I have never heard of stomach trouble from the use of FO/CC but it could happen. My information on FO/CC and Lupus is that it will not cure Lupus but will prevent damage to the kidneys or other organs. I have acquired a couple of books written by Bob Barefoot, copyrighted 2002, that give compelling evidence to me of the value of high quality Coral Calcium in the treatment of any debilitating disease including Lupus. There may be many on this list who know more about this than I do, but I am going to learn. He says that it will reverse MS if used along with other dietary modifications. With a Gettingwell list encompassing a number of approaches to health I would love to hear of the experiences of any who are using Coral Calcium rather heavily. I can get enthusiastic about something and go off the deep end before I really have all the facts and expereiences. I'm definately looking into the calcium/cottage cheese, and also to the ground flax instead of the oil if the stomach upset persists. You might try a search under the topic of " Arkansas Crystal Points " or something similar. I am sure you will find many places where you can obtain them. Guest guest
Hello, My name is Josie and I'm a new mommy. I developed anemia after delivery and have been fainting periodically. I prefer not to have a transfusion if I can figure out another solution. I've been eating protein and iron rich foods which is helping. However, I know my body will readjust better if it is not processing anything while trying to heal. Does anyone know where I can find more information on juice fasting while nursing? (I have done several successful fasts in the past, prior to becoming pregnant). Thank you, Josie
Guest guest
Please DO NOT...... DO NOT fast while nursing.... your body is in a different state now it doesnt want to detox. do you want poisons in your breastmilk ?. Your metobolism is at a fast pace now and it needs alot of nurishment to make milk. its doing a job now and I suggest you eat whole grains it will help with milk production. Stay away from junk. I too was a little anemic after delivery. i was also losing alot of weight because your body burns alot of calories while you breast feed I went all the way down to 114 pounds very quickly. I also didnt have much of an appetite so when I did eat it was only healthy food. I am curious how much do you weigh... and congradulations on your precious angel........ Guest guest
Hi Jennie, Thanks for responding. I'm burning a ton of calories just like you did and have lost all my pregnancy weight. Actually, I didn't gain that much anyway. The main problem is I bled so much during delivery. My hemoglobin dropped to 7.1 so I am SEVERELY anemic. It is slowly climbing, but I am passing out a few times a week. I do eat healthy when I eat. I am in that small percentage of women who get nauseated while nursing. I try to force myself to eat in spite of it. I am trying to find a safe option that will help without causing any risk to the BM supply. I also have a problem with constipation so I have to keep a fine balance with taking the iron. Thanks for the congratulations and the helpful comments. I will wait until she is done nursing and hope I won't need a transfusion before then. Take care, Josie , jennie spooner <jhspooner2003> wrote: > > Please DO NOT......
