i had a sales rep once push the new

and improved soy prescription which had been chemically altered to the

menopausal staff. when i asked why not take a purer form of soy they told

me that this product was indeed better as it had been altered. now did

[herbal remedies] Re: a question

Well said! I too work in a hospital and see these same things. Why is a 91 year old woman admitted with a Migraine subjected to a barium enema the day before she is scheduled for admission to a nursing home? Could it be that last buck being squeezed? And tamoxifen is a great example. A friends insurance company is billed 95 dollars for this med that costs 5 dollars to make! Things I have seen where i work along with many, many, concerns for my wellbeing, the wellbeing of this planet, generations of evidence as to the effectiveness and soundness of herbal healing is what brought me here. Why is such an angry, sceptical person such as the original poster here? I don't see that person answering that question, I am just curious. herbal remedies , "sirona71 <vze4dm6p@v...>" <vze4dm6p@v...> wrote:> I have a question....why are you here if you are so skeptical? Dear Kim,

What a great answer!!!

I'd bet you could tell a story or two (other than what you've written) that could make our hair curl.

It is nice to get it straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. ;o)

Much love,

[herbal remedies] Re: a question

I have a question....why are you here if you are so skeptical? You sound like an angry person.I work in the health care industry. I can tell you this...there are certain things we just don't tell patients. Why? It's all about the money. Can I walk into the room and say "Look lady, you don't need this test, your doctor is getting a kickback from the insurance company" Sure I can, if I want to lose my job... Can I walk in and tell them that if they have an allergic reaction, they might die from it? Or that I get at least a patient a week that develops a reaction to it, at least one severe, life-threatening one a month?Do you know how many times we get patients that are listed as terminal, or DNR (do not rescusitate)...and then in the 'reason for study' it says "Follow up CA with mets to the liver" or "End stage Breast CA". Why on earth are they ordering tests on these people? It's all about the money. I had a resident call me because they wanted to bring a lady down right away. When I asked why, his reply was "because she's going to die within the hourWithin the hour?Yes, she's dnr and currently in respiratory failure" OK, A)I do not want this lady dying in my department at 3 am, and B)WHY IN THE WORLD DO YOU WANT TO GET A USELESS TEST ON HER???? It's all about the money. How many times did you go to your doctor's office and they give you samples? Do you know why they give you samples? Do you think they are trying to save you money? No. It's because there was a sales representative in the office probably that week that was giving them out. Did you know they get a kickback for writing scripts for those new drugs? Suddenly they find patients that fit the criteria.Have you noticed that your family doctor no longer treats you? You get referred to specialists. Is it because they suddenly lost the ability to treat you? No. It is because the insurance companies pay them to refer patients to other providers that are in their network. Why do you think a PPO is so much more expensive than an HMO? Because if you can choose your care, then you must pay extra for it. You break your arm, you go see an Ortho. If you have an HMO, you break your arm, you go to your family doc, he refers you to an ortho.I went to my cabinet one day and noticed how many prescription medications I had and it made me sick. Are there side effects to herbs? Not nearly as many as there are from drugs. You need to be informed about everything you take, whether it be herbs or drugs. Most people who take herbs are not concerned with miracle cures and supplements. MOST of them put the herbs in capsules or tincture them themselves so they know exactly what they are getting. The only concern there is...whether or not the herb was organic....cannot say that about the prescription drugs. Who the heck knows what was in it.Can you find a miracle cure in herbs? Where do you think they get the formulas for the new 'miracle' drugs? They find tribal people or cultures, who have low or no incidence of a certain affliction, such as cancer, find what is in their diet that is preventing this...bottle it up, sell it as their newest miracle cure. Do you know how many rainforests are destroyed in manufacturing tamoxifen?Kim

Hi Janet. I am taking a course in lyphatics, to become a certified lymphologist. Here is a real basic tutorial in what I am learning.

The lymphatic system is larger than your cardio vascular system. It has more than four times the liquid in it and it moves cell debris and toxins out of our tissues. It is a good thing.

When it is working perfectly and our cells are in what is called the "Dry State" the glucose and oxygen combine to make atp and the atp feeds the cells which makes the potassium and sodium rotate from inside and outside the cell which pulls in minerals and nutrients and pumps out toxins and the cell produces electricity which is used as energy and is also used to heal.

When there is excess lymph in the tissues there will also be excess blood proteins and then the oxygen doesn't make it to the cells and the whole system breaks down. The glucose doesn't mix with oxygen and it ferments, and the tissue inviroment becomes acid and this is the enviroment that cancer thrives in.

Also when there is not adequate oxygen the cells don't fire and don't rotate minerals like they should and the minerals fall out of solution. When this happens in the joints arthritis happens. When this happens in the muscles, ms and other similar things occur.

So, the freakishly simple solution is to have a healthy lymphatic system. I just saw a testimony last night about a woman who had arthritis so bad she had not walked in over ten years. Her knees were locked and she just layed in bed. Her son in law had just learned how to move the lymph and asked if he could work on her. She hurt so bad he could barely touch her. But he worked on her and in one hour had her up and walking and pain free. And it didn't cost anything.

There are so many more stories. I have two friends visiting and they both had some minor pain issues and so we tried the techniques and they worked.

So, the short term, free treatment is gentle stroking of the skin with fingers toward the heart, if it can be tolerated. If not then stroke away from the heart. And take some really deep breaths occassionally.

Dr. West says to start with 15 seconds every fifteen minutes the first day and then every half hour the next day and reduce from there until you have success.

Also take three deep breaths an hour. As deep you can take in.

It costs nothing. If you try it, please let us know how it goes. If your have someone to do the stroking for you, that is even better.

And the he also addresses the need to put stuff in the body that doesn't clog the lymph, like organic fruits, veges and nuts. No milk or cheese and a little meat.

Ways to move the lymph that aren't as tiring as stroking:

Bouncing on a lymphasizer

Using a Chi type machine (foot shaker)

I am just beginning to learn, but what I am learning is so fun. It is so easy and so remarkably effective it is almost unbelievable, even when you have experienced it yourself.

Have a blessed day

Donna

Hi Janet. I found this in my old emails. I am assuming I didn't respond. If you have not looked into the miracles of rebounding you might want to.

Rebounding/lymphasizing moves the lymph out and lets oxygen in. It also increases the white cell count. White cells make ozone. Ozone heals like gang busters.

Others with the same problems as you have beaten it with rebounding. It is worth looking into.

Blessings

i was thinking about this question and i wanted to

give my input although i am not knowledgeable about

ayurveda....

these foods (with the exeption maybe of spinach) are

eaten a lot (even daily) in certain areas/climates of

the world. (i.e. mangos on the equator) if they caused

miscarriages, then wouldn't it follow that those

cultures/peoples in the areas where these highly

nutritious fruits flourish cease to exist?

just a thought........

rachel

Rachel ... did you check into what the tradition is in those cultures around

childbearing and certain foods, or the miscarriage rate, or other cooling

influences they might use to counter-balance?

Just a followup thought ...

Martha
