New Rules for Groups

As a moderator or co-moderator of the above groups, I received the following from , who request that I send it on to my members. MOST of it does not apply to us, but I am complying with their request.

Dear Moderator,Important update: The new date for service changes is August 21, 2003.You are receiving this notice because you are a moderator of one or mor. Previously, we emailed you about upcoming service changes to Groups. To give you more time to manage your files, we have pushed back thedate of these changes to August 21, 2003.To continue offering you a high quality, free service, is makingthe following changes:Message Attachments: Email attachments will no longer be archived in the Messages area, although will continue to deliver attachments sent by email. On August21st, all attachments in the Messages area will be removed, and will beunable to retrieve the data. Please note: All of your group messages willremain. Only the attachments will be deleted.Before August 21st, if you want to preserve them, you must move your oldmessage attachments. To do so, go to the Messages area and click on "ExpandMessages." This lets you view many attachments on one page so you can downloadthem easily. Then you can upload them to the Files and Photos areas in yourgroups. The Files and Photos features will allow you to better organize youremail attachments. Files and Photos: You will now need a web membership to access a group's Files and Photos areas.To make sure you have web memberships to all of your groups, please visit thispage: /memwizAdd Members: Although there is no membership limit for your group, we are changing the AddMembers feature so you can add only 10 new members each day. You can continueto use the Invite Members feature to invite as many people to your group as youwish.
