I recently sent in Part I to my forums of an expose on why women should think twice (or MORE) before having one of these fiendish cancer-makers. I have received permission to publish this letter, which I received privately, from a long time internet friend. Whew. :-(

Hope folks will pay attention to these warnings.

Linda

Here is the letter:

I've been through this same experience, only after I submitted one time to a mammogram. My breasts were bruised for months after the unfortunate procedure, which I hadn't wanted in the first place.Any radiologist can tell you, radiation doesn't always pass through tissue. That is one of the reasons why they stand behind the protective shields. Radiation that doesn't pass through the tissue can damage the nucleus of the cell, which can lead to cancer. Why expose yourself to this when there is no clearly proven benefit? It absolutely defies logic, and is why I will never again have a mammogram. If you take the time to read about the development of the technique, you'll find the doctor who invented it, who at first thought it was a lifesaving breakthrough, later reversed his position. That alone should dissuade anyone from having one, unless they are in a risk group, beyond menopause, and somehow feel this might give them some baseline information about the state of their breasts. This poses serious risks, as your article alluded to.There are better therapies out there, including taking dietary supplements such as high-lignan flax seed oil, CLA, medicinal mushrooms, essential oils, OPCs and other antioxidants, aloe vera and high-quality greens. Of course, eliminating transfats, acrilomides, and other dietary aberrations is a given. It has also been found in some studies that women with the "superwoman" complex, i.e. who are workaholics, who don't get enough sleep or personal time, and who are competitive to the extreme, are coming down with higher rates of breast cancer. Even in countries where women't diets are full of saturated fats, they are less likely to get breast cancer if they are living in a more relaxed and holistic social structure.
