Guest guest
Can someone tell me how one can tell about chyvanprash quality standards? For instance, is mushy or solid better; is a certain brand better; are there any identifying signatures, etc.? Thanks GB
Guest guest
You want chyavanprash that lists amla as the first (predominant) ingredient. Also, higher quality chyavanprash is made from fresh amla berries. Chyavanprash comes in different formulations (e.g., different herbs or different proportions of herbs). I'm not sure how one determines which are the better formulations. Maybe someone here can shed some light on that issue. ______ Can someone tell me how one can tell about chyvanprash quality standards? Guest guest
No one can say about the quality standard of not only of chyavanprash but it is also for all Ayurveda formulation. Commercialization can do anything in the formula and process of any medicines for setting up the commissions and the profit and the competitive rates of the market. It is only way to buy from the authentic Ayurveda doctors who are making the medicines himself for their practice use. Guest guest
I have tried chyavanprash of many manufacturers. The one from Patanjali Ayurveda with ashtavarga is found to be the best as they do not make it for making much profit. Guest guest
Dr. Nikul Patel, You are perfactly right. We are not getting standered medicines from any pharmaceuticals. And that is the reason for failure in treatment. Chyanprash has spoiled the prestige of Ayurved in whole world. And Dabur is the pioneer in that. Now it is a high time to interospect in to this matter. Warm regards. Thanks. Guest guest
Dear, Main ingredient of chyavanprash is Amla along with some other ingredients are added. About quality and purity of chyavanprash is a question mark . One can buy it from local vaidya who is prepering by fresh Amla and quality grugs. Regards. Thanks. Guest guest
Dr. Nikul Patel, Hari Om ! Vaidya Dhirendra Joshi, too, has explained the fact. Commercialization can do anything in the formula and process of any medicines for setting up the commissions and the profit and the competitive rates of the market.Your valuable suggestion to buy Chyavanprash from the authentic Ayurveda doctors only who are making the medicines themselves for their practice-purposes. But an ayurvedic doctor, these days, is doing the same thing which the money-monger-companies do. This is the TRUTH ………… One should have the courage to accept it. Even the so-called spiritual Organisations / Ashrams do manipulate the formulae and process of any medicines for setting up the commissions and the profits and the competitive rates of the market. I am sorry for my comment but the TRUTH must be accepted by all. You cann't find required viscosity, plastic limit in engineering terminology, taste because abstracts of costly herbs and pure ghee (taken out from indian cow's milk) are not used in proportion. Yes, if an ayurvedic doctor is known to someone personally, he or she MAY get real Chyavanprash. Only one option now, main ingredient of chyavanprash is Amla……… take it and enjoy assuming that you are getting Vit-C , calcium, iron and a few trace-elements and forget the authenticity. There are only two authentic recipes of Chyavanprash given by the ayurvedic texts, the oldest (and original) being from the Charaka Samhita and the other from the Ashtanga Hridaya Samhita. The formulae and their preparation are slightly different from each other. I prefer the Charaka Samhita recipe, its seems to have a more broad rasayana effect, while the initial effect of the Ashtanga Hridaya Samhita recipe seems more localized to the respiratory system. In my experience, you can determine the quality from the immediate perceived experience of taking it. Ideally, you should literally feel its lifeforce circulating inside you, that is the true meaning of rasayana. Unless you have a lot of ama in your system, a Chyavanprash with potency will let you know right away. With thanks, Swami Brahmavidyananda Saraswati A Sannyasi from Rishikesh, India _________________ Commercialization can do anything in the formula and process of any medicines for setting up the commissions and the profit and the competitive rates of the market.
