Guest guest
Hi Merinda Are you positive you had Frozen Shoulder Merinda? I do not have trouble lifting things (although I am not lifting massage tables for sure). I have trouble with " raising " my arm up high.If you are sure, you are very lucky you knew about Frozen Shoulder! Most of us never heard of it before symptoms persisted for months.I really didnt think anything of it for the first 4 months. It seems the longer it lasts the harder it is to clear up.Even my Dr. couldnt help me much!I was actually the one who asked her if I should go for Physio, she really did not offer anything.Usually it develops gradually and it takes quite a while before a person even knows what they have....I had it for a long, long, time thinking it was something that would clear up on its own. I have never had a chronic, painful, health problem such as this. Can I ask why you never did massage? I am finding that Trigger Point Therapy is helping me the most.It does hurt a bit as He (my massage therapist)is trying to get at the problem. It really gets the circulation going, everything is so plugged up in that shoulder, that massage is needed to get circulation and toxins moving. He has had a lot of success with Frozen Shoulder. I also ordered a book on line called " The Frozen Shoulder workbook. It is written by by Clair Davies. So far it is " bang on " and I hope it will self empower me to do work on this condition along side my massage therapist. There really is not much out there written on this condition and it impresses me that authors main mission is to help people with our condition. (From back of book) : The author's own case of frozen shoulder led him to undertake an extensive study of trigger points and referred pain that eventually resulted in his best-selling Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. Now he revisits the subject of frozen shoulder, offering the most detailed and comprehensive manual available for this painful and debilitating condition, a useful resource for self-care-with or without a partner-and for bodywork practitioners looking to expand their treatment repertoire. > By Merinda...... > Coping with Frozen shoulder for three years! Guest guest
________________________________ Hi Prue I keep on fiding out about new things all the time myself! I just learned about Holly oil from a massage therapist which I had never heard of before... that is all they use in his office! Its a hypoallergenic oil, and non-staining. But about the Squalane: I get my squalane from www.soapcraft.ca If you go to their oils page, scroll down and she talks a bit about it there. There is Squalene derived from Shark oil, but I use the Squalane which is steam distilled from Olive Oil. This oil makes my skin soooooooo soft!! Squalane is the best component of Olive Oil for the skin. It is so fine that it is very quickly absorbed by the skin. It can be used alone as a moisturizer, and has been refered to as " natures facelift " . It an help protect from harmful effects of sun, winter, cold, smoke and pollution. Found to be helpful with acne, hair care, dry scaly skin on elbows knees and feet. It is effective for all types of rashes from diaper to shaving etc..... You can do engine searhces and learn more. Have a great day Colleen aromaprue <prubarista Hi Colleen, I have never heard of Squalene oil before. Where can I find out more about it? Guest guest
Hi Colleen, I looked up the website for soapcraft and I thought some of the prices were good. My question is, if you know, soap manufacturers usally don't use a therapuetic grade of oils and or essential oils, Do u know if this company does. Thanks, Jen Maves On Mon, Apr 13, 2009 at 3:53 PM, colleen davis <cd_at_aspenacreswrote: > > > > ________________________________ > Hi Prue > > I keep on fiding out about new things all the time myself! > I just learned about Holly oil from a massage therapist which I had never > heard of before... > that is all they use in his office!
