Hi everyone!

I just heard about this list on the Reiki Place list, and thought it

sounds very interesting, so here I am! I'm a Master Teacher of 4

types of Reiki, and have been wanting to add crystal work to my

practice, but haven't been able to get started in any crystal healing

classes until now. I'm hoping to learn a lot here, and am really

excited! I'll be checking out the lessons that were already posted

shortly. :o)

More about me...my name is Mina (pronounce Mynah), I'm 31, married,

and live in Maryland. I've got 3 furbabies (cats - Astrophe, Pewter

and Presto) and a tank of goldfish. I've been into energy work for

about the last 3 years, and I LOVE it. I can only think that crystal

work will help enhance my practice. I've always loved crystals

(collected them since I was a little girl...loved the vibrations in

each stone, how it felt in my hand, the interaction of colors,

etc...just everything about them) and so I think this will really be

an enjoyable practice to learn. :o)

Many blessings,

Mina

Hello Helen

Another member from the UK! I'm in Northamptonshire myself.

I too am fairly new to the list but I love it. I have just started to

take crystal healing seriously and I'm having a brilliant time learning

about all kinds of new things.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it here - I certainly do!

Love

Michelle.

Hi Shayne

Just wanted to welcome you and say WOW! I think you'll be enlightened by

the time you get old like some of us here! <smile> I love the fact that

someone in the 4th grade would be led to crystals and stones in such a

natural manner.

One of my first experiments in healing with music was one of the most

dramatic. It involved the endocrine system -- the pituitary gland is the

central regulator of that system.

Anyway the result was that we determined that the key of E flat is especially

good for rejuvenating the endocrine system. There are a number of Classical

music pieces in that key. It was a favorite of many composers, including

Haydn.

Hi and welcome, Mel!

I hope things go well for your mom! She will be in my prayers.

Kava Kava has been getting bad press lately but looking at the

reports shows that this product in use for centuries may be another

victim of the medical establishments vendetta against herbs. They

are reporting a link with some individuals having liver problems

with it but the data is unclear wether there were prexisiting issues

and how widespread it is. It is interesting to note those statistics

against the extensive sucessful use of Kava kava for centuries in

Polynesian countries.

I have used Kava Kava in tea form for a month or two while I was

under some particularly stessful times a couple of years ago. I did

notice a good effect after drinking it about 1 week.

Is the anxiety you have a general type or is it combined with alot

of energy like an ADD type? Is it combined with issues in focusing?

Sometimes food allergies can cause brain inflamation can cause Add

type reactions with " nervous energy " . If you have thought type

anxiety- related to specific thought patterns then it is less likely

caused by food allergies but brain inflamation can have lots of

effects!

Melanie,

Hi,

I use chamomile, linden flowers and leaves (tilia), and lemon balm in an

infusion for calming down my very nervous daughter. These are very popular in

the Canary Islands. You would probably need 2-3 cups. Lavander oil is helping

her too, it is has a relaxing effect.

I have heard valerian is good, just don't go over the recommended dose, and

after 2 or three weeks take a break, because overdosing can cause headaches and

palpitations according to Pelelope Ody. Also valerian can react with some

drugs, so research before taking. Valerian is another very popular herb here,

so it probably is effective, but I have not used it myself.

Take care,

Suni

Hi Melanie!

I would also choose Kava (Piper Methysticum) against depression.

Hi Mel, welcome to the group. Have you looked at the files yet? Doc Shillington has a formula called Total Tonic that he recommends use when detoxing. That and the Echinacea formula will knock out just about anything ;-)

Hi Cindy,

I found your response to be of great interest. Thankyou! I have been

struggling with food allergies for over 10 years. I thought I had irritable

bowel syndrome, but in the last few months after seeing a naturopath, I

believe I am sensitive to milk products, wheat, potatoes and probably others

which I am not yet aware of. I plan on being allergy tested by a naturopath

as soon as funds will allow. I seem to have a general anxiety. I have only

recently began to enjoy my own company after 3 years of feeling frightened

when I was left alone with my children. This was all due to a very

frightening out of body experience I had as a reaction to the antidepressant

Ciprimil. I was alone with my kids at the time and that experience scared me

so much, I don't think I will ever get over it. I resent being on Aurorox,

the antidepressant I have been on for 3 years. And guess what? The main side

effect of the drug is, you guessed it. Anxiety! But at least I am not

depressed i suppose. I hate the thought that I am physically and mentally

addicted to that drug. I found out recently that the drug company that

manufactures Aurorix also manufacture drugs for AIDS sufferers and they

refused to sell them at a cheaper rate to people with AIDS living in Africa,

who lose thousands to the disease every day. It makes me sick to think that

I am giving money to that company every time I reluctantly renew a

prescription. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the manufacturers of such

drugs add an ingredient that makes people addicted to them so they have to

keep buying them, much like the cig companies. They are all corrupt and

really don't care less for people's health. Only how much money they will

make. Sorry to ramble on...just needed to let off steam. I am now down from

2 tablets a day to 1 and 3/4. And I am as anxious as hell. What do I do? I

am determined to get off this stuff!

It is probably no surprise that it was a drug that caused my depression in

the first place. The contraceptive pill put in deep depression after only

taking 6 tablets! I think I have learned my lesson at last. Natural medicine

is the safest and only way to go.

You are welcome, Mel!

Are you exercising every day to help you burn off some of that

nervous energy? That might be particularly critical for you right

now. Another thing that has helped me is to realize I could control

my thoughts! Consciously choose what you are going to think about!

When an anxious thought comes REFUSE to dwell there and put your

mind on a pleasant thing. You can control and choose what you will

think of and that knowledge can empower you. Burn the energy off and

master your thoughts.

Regarding the food allergies. I think it would be an interesting

statistic to find how many people with irritable bowel actually have

food allergies. I suspect the result would be staggering. If you

want to test yourself at home you can do it with the rotation diet

which is a bit consuming but can give result or if you are

interested in another test you can do yourself I posted the details

in this list at post #25274. I got the test out of the wonderful

book, " Perscription for Nutritional Healing by Balch and Balch. If

you can get the blood test though, the result would be alot quicker

and less consuming but prehaps more expensive.

I am still praying for your mom, Mel!

Love in Christ,

Cindy

Hi Melanie,

So well done for you to be weaning off the drugs!!

As I'm having a bad period myself, Doc Shillington advised me to get some Lobelia, which I haven't been able to get ahold of yet, so can't tell you how it works. However, I have been taking Doc's Total Nutrition, and that's made a world of difference to me. It was remarkable how my mood improved after taking that!!

All the best,

Lisa

--- Hello all,My name is Melanie and I live in Australia. I am very excited about being a part of this group. My mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and I have heard that massaging lavender oil into the pulses can slow down the very rapid energy of breast cancer. I am wondering if anybody has heard of or even tried this and what was the outcome? Also, I am currently going through a kind of detox, where I am using personal care products and cleaning products that contain only natural ingredients and are biodegradable. Also, I have discontinued wearing make-up and I am weaning off my anti-depressant. This is a big thing for me...I have resented being on them (it has been 3 years almost) and I really want to be free of them, but I don't want to be sick again. I found St, John's Wort to be of no use to me and have read negative things about it recently. I am curious about sam e. Hopefully I won't need anything. The weaning process makes me anxious and I am wondering what natural remedies I can try to calm me down. I massage a combination if essential oils into my skin morning and night. I also take flax seed oil daily. I have heard valerien (spelling) is calming, but only of it is not used too frequently as it then loses it's potency. Has anybody tried this for anxiety? What else works for anxiety?Any info would be greatly apprecited.Thankyou, Mel.> > ---> Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.> Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).> Version: 6.0.423 / Virus Database: 238 - Release 11/25/2002Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
