Dear members,

I was under impression that isabgol is a good remedy for constipation. However,
I saw a website giving some side effects:

http://www.remedyspot.com/news/health-and-ayurveda/isabgol-qualities-and-benefits-according-to-ay-r48

* Can some members clarify why it will harm nerve and hips? How to avoid it?
* Can we take isabgol just after taking food (dinner or lunch or breakfast)?
* Should we take it before or after food?

Also, for constipation we are advised to take
milk + 2spoon ghee at bedtime
milk + isabgol at bedtime
isabgol after getting up in morning
milk + hot water in the morning?

Are there some member who can throw some light on it? Can some member discuss
their experience?

Can we take at bedtime
milk + ghee + isabgol
OR
milk + ghee + isabgol + honey (honey and ghee in unequal qty);

Regards
Vibhuti

I had amoebic colitis a couple of years back. Tried ayurveda and homeopathy.
But, got cured with isabgol and curds. Two spoons of isabgol soaked in sweet
curds for 10 minutes and then eat with spoon. It was like thick porridge. I
took morning and night for six months and it had helped me to cure my amoebic
colitis.
