Guest guest
There is an herb that the medicine woman gave me last year that works, and it is a powder form. I am sorry that I can not help you past that. I would suggest looking for a medicine person of the native american culture. At 06:32 PM 2/19/02 -0800, you wrote: Polycystic ovarian syndrome. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this one. A poor friend of mine has this problem and wishes to fix it with herbs. Peg Sports - Coverage of the 2002 Olympic Games http://sports. Guest guest
Hadas, I also think you should just focus on your chinese medical differentiation. PCOS is a syndrome, and (with NO intention of bashing WM here), syndromes are sort of what we excel at (or can); WM excels at pinpointing a particular pathomechanism (not the case here). In fact, noting Sharon's suggestion for adding things like zao jiao ci for cysts, I wonder whether the patient has actually been proven to HAVE cysts - not all PCOS diagnoses depend upon imaging of the ovaries (and also you can have polycystic ovaries without having PCOS). I have noticed a sudden increase in the number of women I meet with this diagnosis, at least one of whom (upon further testing by an endocrinologist) turned out not to have PCOS at all - in fact, the endocrinologist knew right away from the first lab results that her hormone levels weren't consistent with PCOS. I wonder whether there has been some kind of educational campaign among gynecologists about PCOS, so they are seeing it more...does anyone else have this experience, suddenly having lots of women coming in with this diagnosis? Guest guest
Hi Pete: This is a tough question to answer. I need to go see Barry Bonds try to tied The Babe's home run record, then I will attempt to answer it. In short I do distance healing with some patients, so I guess that just slipped out. I would want to treat LR 3, whenever I saw her (verifying with pulses but I would bet my bottom dollar they would warrent it) Anne petetheisen wrote: >Anne Crowley wrote: > > >>I would send her LR 3 every time I think of her - and of course any >>other points to break up the blood stasis and cold. >> >> > >Hi Anne! > >How do you do this " sending " ? Guest guest
Hi Nora I see a few women with a PCOS diagnosis and they have all had a laparoscopy. Ovarian cysts are quite small in PCOS and often don't show up on ultrasound. Interestingly I was talking to a gynaecology professor recently who said that once women with PCOS reach about 40, the cysts often diminish but the other aspects of the syndrome remain such as hirsutism. 20 years ago PCOS was hardly recognised/diagnosed in the UK, but it is being diagnosed more frequently now as part of investigations into infertility.
