Guest guest
Hello, I was wondering about the word Ananda. As I understand it, it means " bliss " . Are there any other meanings or definitions for the word in english? Or is it a direct translation? Thanks Tiffany www.PersonalAlchemy.com

Guest guest
The word Ananda is derived from Pali Sanskrit language used to denote the serene joy of highest order. Anand is state different from pleasure which is a lower degree of joy. When your desires are fulfilled there are feeling of pleasure in your brain. When your all questions are appropriately answered and when no questions remain then you reach a state of tranquil joy: a blissful state. Yogic Meditation is an effective tool to achieve Ananda.
