Guest guest
What percentage control do we have over our health according to astrology? I mean, do our actions and taking care of our health matter or do planets determine how healthy we shall be with or without the right actions. There are people who are chain smokers but live for 90 yrs and others who maintain and clean lifestyle but still die young. So is it all determined by planets? Guest guest
I am not an astrologer but I believe that both the stars as well as medicine play their own part. The stars I think set the tone but the good habits and medicine take that as a base and assist further . One individual with bad stars affecting health and the other with good stars related to health can both benefit from medicine. Both may be able to extend the span as well as quality of life but the base will still be effective. Prior to the advancement of medicine, the stars were there. Even with the same star combinations the antibiotics help and extend the life from what it would have been if the medicine was not given. Medicines are in addition to our base composition ( stars etc) and not one or the other both work concurrently. __________________________ What percentage control do we have over our health according to astrology? Guest guest
Surely we have a scale within planetary influence, and depending on how we live and our karma - whether we fall towards the top or towards the bottom of the scale governs how our health will be? I find that people have weakness in the areas ruled by both their sun signs and the opposite to the sun sign - and then you also have the sign in which Saturn falls and the opposite of that too - but I know that Indian astrology is very good and entirely different! For example I was discussing problems of health with a family and mother tells me that daughter has a problem with her thighs - especially after vigorous exercise - I ask if she is a Saggitarian - yes says mother - how did you know? Guest guest
There is well accepted theory in Jyotish or astrology that, every body is born with free will to an extent of 33%. Even same would be applicable to health issue as well. Perhaps there are few a lot things which one not able to control in life despite of all best efforts. In Jyotish, life of individual is broadly classified into 12 divisions. Where as out these twelve, three compartments, with term as Upachayas, are the area which enables one to exercise their will and derive results. Hence there do exists enough flexibility to operate oneself in one's own life beyond any predetermination. This could be the reason thus has been advocated by the knowledged that befalling on cosmos for changing the fortune would not be prudent instead of investing our energy and strength to developed and shape up future of our own lives. Guest guest
Hello Planets do not determine anything...they just suggest possibilities. The link between astrology and health is stress and it is suggested by transits of outer planets to personal planets. Stress could be classified futher as - a. physical stress (Sun) - blockades (Saturn), poisoning (Neptune), disruption (Uranus), elimination (Pluto) When you combine these themes they " suggest " - physical blockade such as congestion or freezing (Sun-Saturn), physical posioning through intoxication (Sun-Neptune), physical disruption through sudden release of energy (Sun -Uranus), stress of physical elimination ( Sun -Pluto). Simillarly one can work out shades of the following by combining planetary themes - b. emotional stress (Moon) c. environmental stress (Ascendent) - Eighth harmonic series of aspects highlights these stressful phases quite clearly. Transits of outer planets to mother and father before birth are pointers to whether the child is welcome or unwanted ( emotionally). Child that is rejected emtionally prior to birth faces more survival challenges because they lack the experience " I am wanted " right from conception. Guest guest
In my experience YES they grahas, determine everything related to our multidimensional reality, prior to ayurveda was Jyotish. In all traditional texts mentioned that afflicted grahas, ill disposed, and badly aspected will influence both mental and physical health, according to many vaidyas the following apply: The prediction of disease with the help of Birth Chart is possible. The period of ailment can be predicted and appropriate action in terms of medication as well as investigations could be suggested. When a person is suffering from a disease the study of his Birth Chart and the planetary positions will give us more precise status of diseases. Whether the disease is curable or non curable? Whether surgical intervention is necessary or it could be treated with medicines? Such questions could be answered with the help of Birth Chart. The more accurate diagnosis will ultimately result into more accurate treatment. For instance lets take Majha dhatu that relates to bone marrow and nerve tissue: Mars is the karaka of Majha dhatu and Pitta dosha ( please read Parashara for precise shastra quotation), the outer planets , Uranus, Neptuno and Pluto are not counted in vedic jyotish, there are plenty of info in Internet regarding why not outer planets are not necessary in vedic jyotish, and I'm not intended to enter into a debate in this forum ( if moderator grant permission, I'll do an exemption ). The Majjadhatu [i.e. the living substance within the bones] is the sixth Dhatu in the sequence. When in the Birth Chart graha Mars is in a debilitating position or is in relation with 6th, 8th or 12th houses or affected by the Saturn and the Jupiter, the person will suffer from Majjagata vyadhi such as Bhrama i.e. Shirashshula i.e. (Headache), and various disorders related with bone marrow. (I quote Parashara Rishi) ----------------- > Perhaps there are few a lot things which one not able to control in life despite of all best efforts. > > In Jyotish, life of individual is broadly classified into 12 divisions.
