There are many causes of Nausea.

According to Ayurveda it is termed as Utklesha of dosha, particularly

Pitta and Kaffa doshas.

It suggest increase in Pitta or Kaffa or both doshas in Amashaya i.e.

Stomach and they are trying to come out through nearest opening as

vomitus. Hence most of the times Nausea is predromal symptom of

vomiting.

There are certain conditions when nausea is a symptom of disease

e.g'Kamala' i.e. Infective Hepatitis.

In these conditions treatment should be according to diseases.

What would the Vaidyas on this list consider to be the cause or

causes of nausea? What would it tell you if it was one of your

patients' main symptoms?

As far as the disease chardi is concerned the vata and kapha are

the major causative doshas. Nausea is the prior condition ot the

chardi and the anti natal period , the kamala stage and the

different fevers are some of the causes for nausea. Gastric

irritation is also a major rason of the nausea.

good remedy for nausea is allowing the vatanulomana i.e.

allowing the vata to its natural path that is towards the

gravitational force side downwards. the other remedy is madhiphala

rasayana is a very god medicine for it.
