Guest guest
Dear Jagannath and Jane : the following bounced back twice. Hence I am sending it again for circulation on the Alt Health. Dr. Alan Marty, MD <aempmarty wrote to Dr. Leo Rebello <drleorebello on March 02, 2007 about MIT study blind can learn to see http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2007/blindness-0214.html DR. LEO REBELLO, N.D., Ph.D., D.Sc., REPLIES Dear Alan : I accessed the link and read the report on Pawan Sinha's Project Prakash.I would like to give following insights.1.. Childhood blindness is due to four reasons : cataracts, xeropthalmia, conjunctivitis and minor eye damage due to various reasons. And all these blindnesses are reversible with green leafy vegetables, carrots, tomatoes, homeopathy and minor surgery as and when required.2.. Blind persons can also 'see' through the millions of pores of the skin andachieve 80% functionality. Infact, I have seen blind men getting into a running bus or describing us a song sequence of a film that we saw together, as good as we saw it.3.. Training is the third and most important aspect, which remains neglected. Like physio-therapy is necessary post surgery in some cases, like the deaf require speech training after surgery, the blind persons operated upon and restored with their eyesight need further 'balancing education' for the 'sights they lost but experience of which they had through hearing and other senses'. In nature cure we recognise the 'broken compensation principle', that is, when one limb is weak, other balances by becoming stronger. Likewise, if one organ is weak, the other compensates by taking on the burden. If one kidney is removed, the other becomes more conscious of its burden. Pawan Sinha has taken the lead in the right direction. Maybe his grounding in Indian philosophy that teaches to look inwardly for more insights helped him to venture into Project Prakash. Modern medicine has lots to learn from Holistic Healing or Oriental Medicine. For more insights refer to my website : www.healthwisdom.org Robin Rebello, my son, who was with us when we met in Mumbai on January 21, is presently redesigning this popular website to make it more user friendly. Suggestions are welcome.
