Guest guest
Hi all! Well, we have real insurance! Wahoooooo! It has been about 6 yrs since I have had real medical ins. I am have a plan. My med. dr is pretty good and always suggest natural methods before meds, so that is a bonus. So, since she is covered by ins 100% and my ND is only 80%, I am going to the MD for a physical and bloodwork and all so it is totally covered, then will take that info to my ND for my long term care and health! Anyway- I have not had a physical in a long time. Any ideas on what to ask them to look for and such? I know I have candida and would love to have that as an official diagnosis so I can get more help, and want to talk about my fatigue (probably related to the candida) and low sex drive and the anxiety. But any hints would be great! Take a 1 tablespoon before meals, 3 times a day. Guest guest
Hi Sindea I know how hard it is getting a diagnosis with candida. I have found that the only real test for me was to eat heaps of sugar and wait for the reaction. It was easy for me to try and convince myself it was something else, until I did the above. Greg, I never considered VCNO for candida, although I know it has an anti fungal effect.... I might combine it with the bit anti candida therapy I am about to embark on shortly. . Even though I have candida, apparently it is in my mucous membranes? Some doctor told me this, but the only symptoms I have/had are/ were interstitial cystitis, and vulval itching. Sugar makes me wanna itch all over at times, and gives me excema. I know this for a fact, as when I eat sugar, I break out in excema in little patches, and my skin itches for no reason. I have never suffered from tiredness to the extent that it was debilitating. Cranberry got rid of the IC, only to be replaced by itching. I would have the latter over the former, but want to be rid of both. I have had candida for 12 years, and I have tried almost everything. I have lost so much weight because of all these diets that I cannot put it back on. Frustrating. I hope you find an answer Sindea, to a most hard to be rid of - problem! I will let you know if the next regime works. Guest guest
--- Sindea, I wish you luck! How nice to have a doctor who's interested in alternatives.:-) Reading much on candida has led me to believe that it too is diet- related. The cranberry can alleviate it for a time. In my case I absolutely ingested too much cranberry and ended up with digestive problems. It is wise to avoid any yeast or yeast derivatives in foods, also. The yeast in dairy products was the offender in my situation as well as certain types of breads. One reason why I changed to the food-for-life breads. These have no yeast in them. If you want more info, visit: http://www.food-for-life.com Also I have found that most berries have the proanthyancidians which are so beneficial in flushing the candida-causing bacteria out of the body. These OPCs are priceless in that respect. If I follow these guidelines, avoid citrus and eat the beneficial berries daily, I find I am very successful at keeping the candida at bay. Citrus was a very big factor with my candida I found. Citrus just aggravates the symptoms, whereas the berries help to alleviate them. I hope this helps you in some small way. I am thankful that I have not had an occurrence in over seven years now. Guest guest
Hey Greg- Thanks for the info. I shall try it. I am a bit behind on reading msgs, although I am wondering why one person (Wayne maybe?) is chewing on the VCNO? Why not just use it in things or add to smoothies or something? I will look into getting it locally, and then if it works out, buy at some of the on-line places recommended... OK- I may just be blond (so true), but is your comment " I'm a Naturopath in Oz. " because you like to study this, or because you are an ND from your neck of the woods. OK, stop laughing.... Seriously what is your back ground? Sindea- who loves to study all this... > > From what I have read 50 g a day (3 tablespoons) of VCNO should have a big killing effect on any candida present as well > as giving you a energy boost.
