Guest guest
There's a woman on another list who is asking about Accutane and she's interested in hearing about alternatives. Any ideas? Mindy P.S. I don't think the answer is as simple as " don't eat chocolate & potato chips " in case anyone was gonna say that!!!
Guest guest
Sorry for the late reply. I may even get some people saying this is a bad idea. BUT it is what did the trick for me and my sil: high doses of vitamin A. My ND had me on 75,000IU daily for a month then gradually went down to 25,000IU daily. This was while I was not pg and not anywhere near trying to get pg. Vitamin A is only toxic to a non-pg person at about 500,000IU daily. If she is possibly pg, it is not safe to go above 10,000IU. But I can tell you it worked wonders for me!!! Also, the one thing I am now learning- eating sugar and crud makes my skin bad like a teenager (I am 29 now). I had been eating no sugar or white flour for about 6 wks and had wonderful skin. Then I gave in to holiday treats and my skin got really bad. For the past week I have gone back to no sugar and almost no white flour and my skin is clearing up already!!! Honey makes a wonderful facial mask and draws the impurities to the top of the skin and out. And makes it sooooooo soft. Also she could make a scrub of plain yogurt and ground walnuts and chopped strawberries- tastes great when it drips into your mouth too!
