Guest guest
I went to the website you mentioned - very interesting reading. Where can I get more info on Omega 5 which you referenced? Is there any one website you'd recommend? Thanks, Jean >Hi Tracy > > Have you carefully reviewed all 5 pages of the GSDL test? >http://www.gsdl.com/assessments/fattyacids/appguide >While this is the best Simple outline of the EFA scenario - It is >FAR from complete. Guest guest
Hi Jean A search for omega 5 will not show very much but a search for myristoleic acid (another name for omega 5) will show a lot. Another one of what might be called the omega 5 family is cetyl myristoleate which has been used sucessfully against arthritis when used with the correct supplements (enzymes and pre enzymes = vitamines). It is a very minor Fatty Acid and seems to have been neglected. There is one study which REALLY INTERESTED me showing the potential for omega 5 to be unbelievable. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov:80/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMe d & list_uids=11304730 & dopt=Abstract If you or any one else can find research on omega 5 i would like to see it. Guest guest
Do you happen to know which foods, oils, etc., are richest in this omega 5 family of lipids. - <r.muenzer Monday, November 26, 2001 11:37 AM Re: Omega 5 > Hi Jean > A search for omega 5 will not show very much but a search for > myristoleic acid (another name for omega 5) will show a lot. > Another one of what might be called the omega 5 family is > cetyl myristoleate which has been used sucessfully against > arthritis when used with the correct supplements (enzymes and > pre enzymes = vitamines). > It is a very minor Fatty Acid and seems to have been neglected. > There is one study which REALLY INTERESTED me showing the > potential for omega 5 to be unbelievable. > http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov:80/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMe > d & list_uids=11304730 & dopt=Abstract > > If you or any one else can find research on omega 5 i would > like to see it. > > Rick > > > Gettingwell, BJ <pinemeadows@e...> wrote: > I went to the website you mentioned - very interesting reading. > Where can I get more info on Omega 5 which you referenced? Guest guest
Hi John Did you read the Pub Med abstract? It seems that no foods have a rich amount of myristoleic acid. There is a trace in milk, butter, coconuts, whale oil and of course serenoa repens.
