Dear Group,

I would like to retract the last message.

I am tired and sick and it has been a long day.

I posted in haste and acted in response to a percieved jibe.

I would like to say that I should have said that according to all that

I have read is that coconut oil has almost no essential fatty acids.

This is not my thinking, this is by most research given to date.

Brian has a busines selling coconut oils so he naturally feels

protective.

I never said it was bad for you. In fact if it is pure and fresh I

read that there are some benefits. But in fairness to the group, I

feel that I should also state that people who do have cholesterol

problems should limit there intake. No, I dont think it causes heart

attacks and or is a " bad " oil. But people who are sick and are trying

to get well should be very carefull in trying to balance your oils.

Not just coconut but ALL oils. Research points to oils as playing

apart in cancer, heart disease and many other diseases.

Go to the web site posted earlier for great smokies labs about

essential fatty aids or buy the book by Udo Erasmus as mentioned

earlier.

A few years ago tropical oils got a bad rap and most of it

undeservedly so. By the same token the pro coconut forces should tell

all of the findings, not just the ones that sound good.

Greg Watson of the group seems to be quite well versed in the oils.

Maybe he will comment again.

I am not an expert on oils and do not claim to be. I can read though

and understand some. I urge you to do your own research on any area

you are curious or planning to implement into your diet or

supplements.

Don't take my word or Bryan's or anybodies. Its your body, you need to

know what is going on. The producers or sellers of any product in the

world usually tell you the percieved good parts.

kind regards,

Frank

Hi Frank,

Speaking of cholesterol problems what is your take on cholesterol?

And I must point out that Udo Erasmus sells oil too.
