Hi Tracy,

For 2,

2 dozen Blueberries,

1 dozen Strawberries,

2 Kiwi Fruit,

1 medium Banana,

6 pitted Prunes,

2 tablespoon ground flax,

2 tablespoon VCNO,

1 cup no fat Soy drink, blend, then add Soy drink to make 4 glasses. We have 1

glass each in the morning and 1 for

morning tea.

Delicious!

Morning Greg,

>I don't know of ANY oil I would take like that. I mix mine in a smoothie.

Come on Greg, as highly disciplined as you are, you must have the power of

" mind over matter " .

I take every old oil that comes along by the spoon full. Never seen one

that tasted bad.

It has been 40 or 50 years since I have taken any castor oil. Maybe

taking that when I was a kid is what makes all other oils taste delicious.

My only problem is controlling my urge to eat too much peanut

butter. After what you told me about how much I needed, I cut the daily

consumption in half.

Coconut oil mixed with peanut butter, honey, and maple syrup is really

great.

It has to be the most ornery temperature sensitive material I have run

across in my whole life.

I am thinking of building a small temperature controlled enclosure just for

coconut oil.

As someone else said, I have about worn out my refrigerator door.

Hi John,

I remember you posting once that you would do anything to lose weight. Have you

tried cuting out/down on your starches? I went from a body fat fo 27% to 22% in

less than a year with no calorie reduction by cutting out all grains and starchy

veggies such as corn and potatos. In fact, I was eating more calories because

my fat intake was much more. I had an increase of lean muscle mass since my

weight went from 128 pounds to only 125 pounds!!!

J,

There is a big difference in VCO. Have the different sources send

you free samples. I found the VCO from www.coconutoil-online.com to

be a superior product to the others in both smell and taste. It is

the least processed VCO and they will send you a free sample. The

sample sent from the Wildnerness Family Naturals smelled and tasted

rancid in comparison.

I don't eat very much either, but since I started eating virgin coconut oil I

actually gained a nasty little 5 lbs that I can't shake. I love the coconut

oil and, living in FL, rely on it for protecting my skin from sun exposure.

Never get sunburned anymore. So, I guess I will just have to live with those

extra few pounders...

Another good suggestion for you below...

Vitamin A: Protection from Sun Exposure

There are over 400 carotenoids, the best known of which are beta-

carotene, lutein, canthaxanthin, zeaxanthin,lycopene, alpha-carotene,

and cryptoxanthin.

Although not all of them have Vitamin A activity, many have powerful

antioxidant properties and specific anticancer and cardiovascular-

protective effects.

All forms of Vitamin A- both fat and water-soluble are stored in the

liver. This supplement can therefore be toxic in large amounts. In

general a normal health adult must take at least 100,000 IU of

Vitamin A daily for a period of months in order to display any sign

of toxicity.

Beta-carotene on the other hand, can be given for long periods of

time virtually without risk of toxicity.

Since beta-carotene is a

naturally occurring pigment, the only adverse effect of taking it is

the possibility of carotemia, a harmless condition in which the skin

turns a slight orange color.

This is a signal that the body has

converted as much beta-carotene to active A as it can, leaving the

exces as an orange-yellow pigment

***Such pigments are often given to

sun-sensitive individuals, since the tinting of the skin affords some

additional protection against sunburn, allows them to tan easier and

keep the tan longer. It also protects against skin cancer.

Thank you! I am taking a good multi-vitamin that contains a fair amount of

beta-carotene. It didn't seem to cut it, though, in FL sun...;-) I think I

will just have to make adjustments in other parts of my diet, but stay with

the amount of vcno that I am consuming right now.

Everything that I have read says that coconut oil is high in saturated fats -

saturated fats are not good for me as I have narrowed arteries and it is

imperative that I stay away from saturated fats. I prefer to live to 100

with loads of wrinkles than die at 60 with none.

I also have narrowed coronary arteries. But I'm not so sure, that moderate

amounts of coconut oil will necessarily be a problem for us. The issue is

dose. I would not likely use more than a couple of teaspoons a day of

coconut oil.

But I hope your post will get some responses from others on the list, or

from people from the coconut oil list; I'd like to see what they have to

say.

Hi John - I have been advised that coconut oil is not a good one to use if

you have artery problems such as ours - anything that is high in

saturates is a bad thing. I use just a very small amount of butter on

my toast in the morning (don't like cereal and have to eat something)

and the rest of my food is cooked in Extra Virgin OO - I feel that I am

safe using these as they are both organic and definitely do not

contain any GM/GE ingredients. I do hope that others respond

as you say but with facts to back up their opinion, mine is 2nd

hand and I know that the source would NOT put me wrong.

I live in South East Asia and there are plenty of wrinkly women over

here. Another fable.

Mind you, over all, the women over here look GREAT!!!

Hi John,

If you swap the coconut oil for Omega 6 veggie oils and high GI carbs, the

effect could be very significant.

Hi Patty,

Here is the info. I am still WAY off from meeting the 400 lbs, so will let

folks know by this weekend if I'm going to cancel or offer an alternative.

Hopefully we can get there!

Margaret

Our list mom and moderators are not responsible for the outcome of this

co-op, I am. :)

Thanks Chris for allowing ad day!

This ad is for a co-op on Virgin oil de Coco Creme

This is the biologically pure oil that is extracted from fresh coconut milk.

It has had NO heat applied at all, as it has been extracted using the

centrifuge technique. It is white when solid and clear when melted. It

smells light and very similar to fresh cracked coconuts. It is organic

however it is not certified.

This oil is perfect for using in all your soap & toiletry making as well as

for your cooking/baking oil. It is Wonderful used for a portion of the

butter in chocolate chip cookies, banana nut bread, spread on toast with

peanut butter, in smoothies or whatever! It's great stuff.

The pricing is as follows:

32 fl oz $14.50

1/2 gallon $27.00

5 gallons $210.00

Hostes Fee $3.50

Payments Accepted are Paypal, visa and MC (called in) or money orders.

Co-op will run until all 400 lbs have been spoken for. Hopefully that won't

be too long. ;)

Shipping will be actual charges using fedex ground or usps. Shipping will

be billed after product is in and packaged up.

Please send all orders and questions to me at naturalindulgences

Thanks for looking!
