VITAMIN C:  So it can kill cancer, just as the man said

Whisper it in case you wake the pharmaceuticals, but Linus Pauling was

right all along.  Very high doses of vitamin C can kill cancer, just

as the Nobel prize-winning chemist and physicist suggested.

Scientists at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda have

demonstrated the theory in laboratory tests.  They used very high

doses of the vitamin, in its ascorbate form, on nine cultures of cancer

cells.

Only half the cells survived in five of the cell groups, and growth of

lymphoma cells was 'reduced by at least 99 per cent " .  In other words,

the vitamin killed the cancer cells, and stopped their regrowth.

The therapy also worked with my own mother, whose end-stage breast

cancer was completely reversed by intravenous vitamin C.

But while medicine remains a front for the profit-crazy pharmaceuticals,

none of this ever sees the light of day, and cancer sufferers continue

to be given chemotherapy that debilitates and kills.

* VITAMIN C isn't the only thing that is a cancer fighter.  There are

plenty more treatments that have a long and impressive track record of

beating cancer, it's just that you're not supposed to hear about

them.  Well, you can find out all about them in the WDDTY Cancer

File.

* THE MIND also plays a big part in cancer recovery.  The world's

leading cancer therapists who have pioneered mind techniques to overcome

cancer are talking at a major WDDTY conference, Mind Over Cancer.

It's in central London next month - and tickets are going fast.  It's

a must for anyone who wants to understand cancer and, indeed, the human

personality.  Find out more by clicking on this link:

Vitamin C and colon cancer

COLON CANCER

S. R. writes:

" My friend Mike now has severe back pain and constipation, related to

his colon cancer. He is scheduled for more chemo next month. One of his

friends mentioned that vitamin c intravenously can be very helpful. Mike

said he was skeptical, because he thought that double blind control

group studies were lacking. Anyway, if you know of some, maybe that

would help him? "

DY News Response: I can only wonder if Mike can afford to wait for more

studies. His life is not a placebo-controlled, double blind study; he

gets only one. Still, I think he should pay very close attention to the

THIS WEEK IN THE HSI HEALTHIER TALK COMMUNITY

Antioxidants - and specifically vitamin C - have been shown to minimize

the side effects of chemotherapy for some cancer patients. Here's an

informal case study, offered by an HSI member named Donna. It appears in

the Cancer forum in the Healthier Talk community. " My best friend has

been on the chemo routine for cancer (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma), she has

had 5 chemos every 6 weeks. She is also getting 50 grams of vitamin C

intravenously three times a week. She has had no side effects from

either, in fact she goes shopping after the chemo, and leads a normal

life.

" During the Christmas holidays she discovered that it's the vitamin C

that is preventing side effects from the chemo, as she wasn't able to

get the treatments. After 7 days without C she was in pain all over &

had sores inside her mouth. When she went back after 10 days for a

treatment of vitamin C she was feeling much better just during the drip

of C. The next day she was completely fine again.

" The medical establishment declares that vitamins 'do not cure, treat or

prevent an illness', so it's not easy to find a doctor who will

dispense, but it is worth it to keep trying, call independent doctors.

" My friend's drip also has 1cc of B-12, 1cc of B-complex in the 50 grams

of vitamin C. "

Dr. W.: " Vitamin C is invaluable in cancer therapy, it should be

mandatory. In some people it brings the cancer to a halt, in some it

prolongs life while killing the pain, in others complete lysis of the

tumour occurs. In the latter case it is essential to be in the hands of

a competent practitioner as a sudden tumour necrosis and flooding of the

system can and does kill. To think that Klenner knew this over 50 years

ago... "

In a later posting, Donna provides information about a web site that

maintains a list of doctors who practice vitamin C therapy. And she

adds: " Get the book, Definitive Guide to Cancer by Dr. Diamond & Dr.

Cowden, for more doctors, and case histories. Read what the Mary Clinic

writes about vitamin C at maryclinic.com. You can also write the Mary

clinic in New Orleans and ask them, I hear they respond quickly and

answer questions even if you aren't a patient. " A quick check of the

Mary Clinic web site confirms that they're up and running after being

closed for a while due to Hurricane Katrina. Other topics being

discussed this week in the Healthier Talk community forums include:

Diabetes: Cinnamon and diabetes

Cancer: Frankincense oil & Melanoma

Dental: Bruxism prevention

of the dozens of discussions about nutrition and natural health care.
