Sriram: For diksha, if you are in India you can go to the nearest Ramakrishna Mission and express your desire to the monks there. As far as I am aware, right now Swami Ranganathanandaji - who is the President, and Swami Atmasthanandaji - who is one of the Vice-Presidents have been giving diksha. I am not sure whether Swami Gitanandaji who is also a Vice-President has been giving diksha, there might be others too who have been giving diksha. If you are outside India, you can go to one of the Vedanta Centers. You can also go to the Sarada Math, and the various Ramakrishna-Vivekananda organizations and inquire. Usually a set of pre-requisite steps are prescribed like reading a certain set of books, interview, etc - This is of course what little I know.
