Absence of

mere anger cannot be taken as peace. The winning of a desired object and

the satisfaction one gets then, should not be confused with peace. The

peace that has pervaded the heart must not be shaken subsequently for any

reason. That type of peace alone deserves to be called Prashanti

(supreme peace). Prashanti has no ups and downs, it cannot be

partial in adversity and complete in prosperity. It cannot be one thing

today and another tomorrow. Maintaining the same even flow of ananda

(bliss, joy) always, that is Prashanti.

WALK FOR VALUES IN CANADA

May 25,

2008

The Sathya Sai School of Canada and several thousand of its

friends are busy gearing up for the coolest event of the year in the city

of Toronto – the sixth annual Walk for Values scheduled 10 AM,

Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown

Toronto. The uniqueness of the Walk for Values lies in the fact

that all pledges from its participants are sought in the currency of pure

£ove. It is neither a fundraiser nor a solicitation for monetary

pledges. It is open to everyone who believes in celebrating life

and global affirmations such as Truth, Peace, Right Conduct, Non-violence,

Love.

Started in 2003, Walk for Values seeks pledges of

self-transformation from its participants, encouraging them to intensify

their practice of a human value of their own choice. The universality of

its vision has appealed to caring Canadians across 9 cities who are all

participating in the local chapters of this walk. It has also acquired

international fame with Australia and the United States of America starting

their own walkathons along the same theme. At a promotional event held in

Toronto yesterday, the school choir captured the hearts of many fellow

Canadians and the Toronto media, with their loving invitation to join them

to promote more kindness, caring, selflessness, consideration and such

values in the society this coming Sunday.
