As most of you know already, Yoga Sangeeta is a new, non-profit organization

started under the divine guidance of Pujya Sri Swamiji, to propagate, primarily,

Sri Swamiji's music to the populace of the globe. Since its inception in early

2008, the most notable event carried out under its banner was the Meditation and

Healing Music Concert at Lincoln Center, New York, along with the related Guru

Purnima Celebrations.

 

Pujya Sri Swamiji's instruction is that we persevere in our efforts to make Yoga

Sangeeta as the one-stop place with respect to His Holiness music. His Holiness

instructs Yoga Sangeeta to be an active, current and vibrant entity to

disseminate information on music-healing, music in general, Sri Swamiji's

efforts over the several decades in healing through music, etc., through the

various media outlets of the current age - internet, radio, TV, newspapers, etc.

 

With the guidance and inspiration from the infinitely compassionate Pujya Sri

Swamiji, we have started our efforts to make the above a reality. Devotees from

many satsang centers are working on this endeavor, with support and

encouragement from Mysore Ashrama staff. We are in the process of redesigning

the web site (www.yogasangeeta.org) to meet the above objectives. In the past

one month, we have also registered local chapters of Yoga Sangeeta in Texas and

California, to carry out their activities with focus and ease.

 

As with any organization, in addition to physical (volunteer) support, financial

support structure is essential, for the organization to succeed in realizing its

objectives.

 

Towards this end, with His Holiness blessings, we are introducing a donor

membership program for the devotees to become donor members to support the

activities of Yoga Sangeeta. Membership amount can be $25, $50, $100 or more

per month. Your monthly contributions will be tax-deductible in US, under IRS

tax laws. Registered members will also be given discounts on their CD/DVD

purchases via Yoga Sangeeta web store (web store in the process of making --

part of new site to be released), notified on new releases and upcoming events

via email to your Inbox.

 

Let as many of us be members, and encourage the noble initiative to march

forward. Our intention is to rely on small, regular donations from MANY

devotees, to allow WIDER participation and a feeling of " ownership " for all over

this endeavor.

In the coming days, we will also offer this process through the Yoga Sangeeta

web site, to make it easy for everyone. At the end of each year, a Donation

Summary Letter will be sent to you, to be used towards tax filings.
