Guest guest
Aum Amriteshwaryai Namah, This year as last year, the Seattle retreat is an all " off-site " i.e. " without accommodations " retreat. This means that EVERYONE makes their own reservations with the hotel directly. For San Ramon, LA, New Mexico, Boston and Toronto retreats, MA Center will accept retreat reservations and housing reservations usually beginning in May. In Seattle for the NW retreat the agreement with the off-site hotels means that in order to pay the special rate, we each have to call the hotel and reserve our rooms soon. Please see below from the Seattle Area Satsang coordinator: Aum Amriteshwaryai Namah This is my yearly announcement that it is time to reserve hotel rooms for the NW Public Programs and Retreats. Most of the Amma Rates we have negotiated are over in April and retreat registration generally doesn't begin until May so it is important to reserve your hotel rooms before registering for the retreat. (You will still be able to find hotel rooms later, but they will be further away from the program.) This years NW public program will be held on Thursday May 28 at Seattle Center. The retreat will be held at the Puyallup Fairgrounds located 36 miles south of Seattle. The retreat dates are Friday May 29 through Sunday May 31. You can find information about the public program hotels and the retreat hotels at www.seattlesatsang.amma.org. Click on the link under Local Updates that says " Amma's 2009 NW Visit " . Since there are no large hotels in the area, we have to use eight different hotels and motels. That makes shuttle services impossible so participants are responsible for providing their own transportation. You can use MA Center's Travel Exchange to find someone with whom to share a car: http://amma.org/tours/travel-exchange/index.html. We will also ask retreatants to be aware of people who need rides and offer their services. We hope that you plan to make the NW your first stop Amma's 2009 Summer Tour!
