Guest guest Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 dear beloved family and darling children of AMMA.AMMAs sun wanted to let you all know that through grace, all of AMMAs Lakota native american children have succesfully made it to cailfornia.the area that they have come from is one of ,if not the poorest area in this country(pine ridge).a beloved devotee sometime back sent me statistics of the crisis that these beloved children are enduring on the reservation in s.dakota. just before that AMMAs grace allowed me to see a new movie called " buried my heart at wounded knee " .this was the first film that i saw that gave the story of what happened after the massacre of the Lakota people there.after that, i recieved the statistics from our beloved sweta.it was all spotaneous!around the same time AMMAs grace introduced me to www.calearth.org which is an institute in the desert of cali .that teaches people how too build their own earth dome homes using the earth.my heart knew that this was ALL AMMA doing this.Nadir khalli who designed the domes left his body this year on the night of SHIVARATRI.three days after that ,i found out about CALEARTH.this summer when AMMA came, i was able to bring seven people from CALEARTH to meet AMMA.they sat underneath HER feet for about an hour.the amrtia t.v people came that same day and filmed .AMMA was very pleased and gave HER FULL blessing.SHE even wants the earth dome homes to be taught to the brahmacharis in India.CALEARTH has donated books that just arrived at AMMAs ashram.this was the same time in which AMMA tod me that SHE was ready to build homes for HER children going through homeless transtitions in n.america. so anyway,when i did further research into the Lakota's homeless stats and their current living conditions,AMMA told my heart that i should organize a trip for the Lakota's to come to CALEARTH so they could learn for themselves how to build the earth homes.this would also enable them to re-align themsleves with MOTHER EARTH as we all need to.well beloved brothers and sisters,in HONOR OF OUR BELOVED AMMAS DAY OF INCARNATION,SEPT 27TH,SEVEN OF THE LAKOTA people from s.dakota have traveled across the country and are now in hesperia cali with me taking the five day training course. AMMAs sun recieved two e-mails from India telling him that AMMA was happy and SHE okayed for me to raise money.before SHE okayed it through e-mails, AMMA had already okayed it in my heart.we had all the money for the trip in about two days,prior to be told we could raise money. so beloved and darling chidren of AMMA,once again AMMAs grace has prevailed!SHE ALONE IS VICTORIUOS. At first glance thought it was a coyote, but thenthe mind began to be engaged in deductive analysis. It did not have atail like a coyote, it did not have ears like a coyote, it did not walklike a coyote---then the mind found frame and there was realization,what stood less than thirty feet before was not a coyote but a mountainlion.Sometimes being a Westerner trying to bridge the expressions of Easternspirituality have felt the same slow to grasp what i am taking in.When i first went to a Hindu Temple it took a few times to identify theexpression of devotion. Devotion was not an energetic expression i hadexperienced or observed in churches of Christianity, so with theexperience there was a delay in finding the word that could frame it.This week had another one of those ah-ha. I have noticed a beauty andquality in the gaze of Amma's senior swamis as they look at Amma.Something was there i could not name. My soul was drawn deep, to thatexpression but was lost for frame. Engaged in deductive analysis and theframe was not coming until this week and then it clicked and realizedwhat i was actually seeing.I was seeing the expression of purity on the faces of the Swamis as theygazed at Amma in so many of the photos that come forth. With thisawareness felt both happiness for it's recognition and also sadness ittook so long to recognize purity.Did a brief search on spiritual purity and below is a bit of what wasfound. This is a bit long but thought i would post it anyway. Wouldlove to hear other people's or Amma thoughts or words on spiritualpurity?From the Bible the Beatitudes as spoken by Jesus: " Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God. " Moses (Exodus33:20), John (1:18), and Paul (1Timothy 6:16) all say that no one cansee God here on earth! But Jesus says the pure of heart shall see God!To be pure of heart means to be free of all selfish intentions andself-seeking desires. What a beautiful goal! How many times have any ofus performed an act perfectly free of any personal gain? Such an act ispure love. An act of pure and selfless giving brings happiness to all.( I like this one: Blessed are the Pure of Heart for they shall see God.When the Swami's gaze at Amma, they are seeing God. Majority of thepeople consider purity as being limited to the physical, or at best, themental level. Spiritual purity, or say purity of the soul, is eitherignored or just not paid the attention it deserves. Not only this, alarge number of people are not even aware of the essence of this purity.It is interesting to understand how the three are inter-related.First: purity of the body.It includes diet, hygiene, physical fitness and action. The health ofthe body is contingent upon what we eat, our exercise regimen, the typeof actions we perform, etc. It is through the body that we performvarious deeds. These actions either protect the body or injure it. Withrespect to diet, vegetarian food is the best for a sound and healthybody. Brisk walks, jogging, martial arts, physical yoga, and sports, forexample, keep a person in good shape. Intoxicants invariably adverselyaffect the body and make it feeble and prone to diseases.Second: purity of the mind.Our mind is bombarded by an incessant flow of thoughts. In reality, themind itself is a bundle of thoughts which we are constantly trying tosort through. In the midst of negativity, for instance, we may try torummage through our thoughts and produce positive ones. Positivethoughts have a definite calming impact on the mind. And in efforts tocounter-act vices such as self-centeredness, many take up good deeds ofcharity. We do so to mentally purify ourselves. By doing good deeds, wecan definitely attain a reasonable level of purity of mind.However, is this all? No, there is more to purity. We can drawinspiration from the following words of Sankara in the Vivekchudamani, " Work leads to purification of the mind, not to perception of theReality. The realization of Truth is brought about by discrimination andnot in the least by ten millions of acts " (Verse 11). This implies thatGod desires that man should strive to have a mind that is purged ofduality and sense-attachment through the sharpening of the power ofdiscrimination. God has no desire for all the actions performed if ego(which dulls discrimination) is still very much active in our life. Butin order to de-activate the ego, what we need is spiritual purity.The type of purity that God looks for in you is purity of the soul -spiritual purity. It is the highest and the most valuable trait Godponders over to assess his children. A plethora of other humanisticvirtues flow out of the sublime virtue of spiritual purity. However,spiritual purity cannot be inculcated through half-baked therapies;rather it has to be through the time-tested mechanism of eternalknowledge. There is a veil of karma on the soul. Eternal knowledge canhelp remove this veil.Satan, residing within us in the form of passion, anger, attachment,greed and ego, has a complete hold over the soul due to which it getsentangled into the wheel of karmas - losing its true identity and form.To help one regain his lost identity, a perfect spiritual master impartsthe eternal knowledge by opening the divine eye of an aspirant, liftingthe veil. The spiritual journey of purity for that soul thus begins.When such an aspirant assiduously adheres to the path shown by his guru,he passes through different stages of evolution. The seeds of karmastart turning into ash; and gradually, the sway of Satan subsides. Thesoul starts progressing towards nirvana. It now sparkles in its ownlight. This emerging of the soul in its true form of bliss isappreciated by God in a seeker.Soul is the entity that controls both the body and mind. When man learnsto connect to the soul that lies within, he can attain ultimate purityof the body and mind. Our body and mind are like the water that fallsfrom the clouds. The two have a natural tendency to go downward. Just asthrough the heat of the sun, water is turned into vapor and is able torise upward, even so, the body and mind are drawn upward and become purewhen spiritual purity is attained. The elevated state is obtainedthrough the constant practice of eternal meditation taught by the guru.In the eyes of God, purity constitutes the sanctified heart andtrans-sensuous soul. When a man is unaffected by differentmanifestations of maya and constantly longs for the company of God inhis thoughts and actions, he is planting his feet on the stage ofspiritual purity. This is the state when the human soul feels one withGod. Caressing a child and holding it close to the heart generates inthe individual a sense of serenity and simplicity. This is the type oflove and oneness a human being should have for God. Once we are able toestablish the pristine connection to the soul, true purity can beachieved; an ever-lasting purity can be experienced.Establishing this sublime connection with the Higher Power requiresunraveling of the sovereign secret of soul. Soul, the Self is alreadywithin all beings. We need to build a rapport with it. For this, we needa spiritual teacher who can demystify the secret of soul. After it isrevealed through the divine eye by a true preceptor, we become aware ofthe mechanism to unite our being with cosmic consciousness. When such aperson meditates on the divine light of soul, he begins to imbibe divineattributes. In course of time, he demonstrates every facet of spiritualhumanism with a spirit-centric global view running through every pore ofhis body. This is not something that happened only in the remote past.It is possible even today provided one has the urge to be blessed witheternal knowledge - the Ancient Yoga.In sum, the physical body is the case in which resides the soul, thetrue Self of man. Body is the vehicle in which God, the true divine Selfof man, can be realized. Thus, purity of body is necessary. A cleansedmind can become a better recipient for the message of God. Thus, purityof mind is necessary. But in order to enter into the realms of Realityand Truth, a higher form of purity is required. This is a purity thatdoes not contradict bodily or mental purity but fortifies them. Byattaining spiritual purity only, we can make our life truly beautiful.Let us also pray to God like Socrates, the Greek philosopher - " I praythee, O God, that I may be beautiful within. HER BREATH allows me to breathe.HER sun allows me to shine.HER love allows me to love.HER compassion allows me to feel the pain of others and act.while AMMAs tmba writes this he cry's because he knows that without HER he is lost,hopeless,forgotten etc.. my reward is that SHE continues to allow me to serve.....i want this for everyone.everything SHE gives to me ,i want it for all.if i could give it to all and not have it myself i would because i know that SHE would fill my heart even then.. Guest guest Posted September 20, 2008 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 dear beloved child of AMMA,while we are learning to build,we have also received commitments from many people to help us plant trees,install solar panels and wind energy machines.a lot of the so-called poverty issues will be squashed once we have saturated the native culture with this tech.which we are in the process of doing.when communtys are erected that are off of the grid, where will the poverty be then?it will not exist!this will happen as you said,one step at a time. my goal is to create (through AMMAs grace) an awareness so strong in this area that peoples hearts feel compelled to act.we cannot just skim over the native plight and the african american plight in this country simply because they now have the oppurtunty to get ahead in this society.this country was founded on the backs,blood,sweat and tears of these people.we cannot just act like things are okay because we now have all found spirituallity.only a spiritual coward would do that.we are children of AMMA not cowards.we dont live in a fantasy world,we face reality fearlessly! what you see emerging out of this will get stronger and stronger and stronger!these people will not be forgotten ,by AMMA just as we have not been.everything GOD has given us is to be given to someone else.how can we discover that someone is freezing to death and not act?right here in n.america the people that are original to this land are freezing to death!do you here me AMMA devotees?if it was not the Lakota people and was white americans AMMAs sun would act.i made it very clear to the Lakota people that though i was part native myself ,that had little, or nothing to do with my actions.i am AMMAs child.my religion and culture is LOVE.i made this very clear to them.it is great to have people commend AMMAs work,but i would rather help.
