Information on all other tour cities will be mailed in the MA Center flyer, and at www.amma.org. ************ ********* ******** Dear Amma's Children, On behalf of the 2007 Tour Coordinators and Pacific Northwest satsangs, I would like to invite you to come welcome Amma to the first of her programs in the United States. The Seattle public program will be held on May 31 at the Seattle Center, the same place we used last year. The retreat will be held Friday June 1 through Sunday June 3 at Puyallup (pronounced pew al lup) Fair and Event Center. Puyallup is located 36 miles south of Seattle and 10 miles from Tacoma. If you are coming to both the public programs and the retreat you may want to stay in Seattle the night of the 31st rather than drive the distance to Puyallup so late at night. If you decide to stay in Seattle for the night, I suggest you leave for Puyallup no later than two on Friday since traffic can be really heavy on Friday afternoons. Consider coming early in the afternoon and help us set up for the retreat! This email contains a variety of important information. Since it is essential that you book hotels for the retreat now, I will be addressing that issue first. IMPORTANT : Reserve NW Retreat Hotel rooms NOW Puyallup Fair & Event Center The Pavilion (near Gold Gate Entrance) 110 9th Ave. SW Puyallup , WA 98371 Since there is NO on-site lodging at the Retreat venue and NO large hotels in the area, we consider this an OFF-SITE Retreat, with retreatants arranging for their own hotel rooms and own transportation to/from and during the Retreat. We have negotiated special rates at several hotels, however many of the specials will end in mid April, so book now if at all possible. It is essential to book early if you want to be at the closest hotels. There are plenty of hotels, so you will be able to find a room regardless of when you book, but over time the hotels with vacancies will be farther away from the program site. Roommates and Transportation There are only two small hotels within walking distance of Amma's Program. There will NOT be any shuttle transportation provided during the retreat, so DEVOTEES WILL NEED TO RELY ON MAKING THEIR OWN TRANSPORATION ARRANGEMENTS. If you like, you may use the MA Center Travel Exchange, http://www.amma. org/tours/ travel-exchange/ index.html, to find devotees with whom to share rooms and/or transportation. Devi Bhava: Starts with the Atma Puja on Sunday June 3 at 6:30 p.m. Some people will choose to stay in the hotel only Friday and Saturday nights. Others will extend their hotel reservations so they can rest there the afternoon of the 3rd and/or sleep after the Devi Bhava. Devi Bhava's frequently last until around 6 a.m. Monday morning.
