Guest guest
Friends... The GREATEST Guru of ALL TIME is impossible to say until the end of time is reached and all gurus compared. No one can say who is the most beautiful women on Earth unless they have seen ALL women on Earth. The Greatest Guru I ever had was Akinchan Krishna Das Babaji Maharaj who was Godbrother of my Diksha and Hari Nam Gurus. Babaji Maharaj was the GREATEST Guru I ever met, and he never had even one disciple, including me. I tried unsuccessfully to add him to Wikipedia but he was such a tyagi apart from Maya that there was no reference to him on all the WWW except what I have put here http://www.richardshawbrown.com/mysticarticles/Babaji.html But having to compare him with the likes of Narada Muni, or Vyasadev, or Markandeya, Parasara, Adi-Shankaracharya, Valmiki, or The Kumaras, and they are in an exalted position hard to even approach, and he wasn't as great as them. So what to speak of Sandhipani Muni who was Guru to Krishna & Balaram, he was Guru to God. Who can be greater? Meanwhile. ND Srimalee, as a Guru, doesn't even come close. He was a small fry. I have his thin little books, all simply inconclusive ABCs. Best wishes, Richard sacred-objects , summa iru anama <typhon777 wrote: > > > Dear Sophia! > > You have to understand that in western countries the subject of guru has been introduced by " the Beatels " when they came back from India together with Maharishi (who at the end of his life in Belgium had his own type of money, no $, no euros), and his TM system of meditation. Todays menagment lessons, became so popular, that people are paying ridiculous amounts of money just because they think that they are going to learn a magic formula for getting rich. The secret of Amsterdam (even the common Amsterdamers don't know that) is that they have largest esoteric library of western grimmoires and sacred books from the renaissance period. They knew facts about precession of equinoxes, they were aware of astronomical knowledge, and at the end western people were the first ones to make a map of the world. The problem of the West is that even the freemasonry (which is based on kabbalistic dogma) teachings are based on Holy Bible, and from todays point of view some of their lectures sound ridiculous, and are out of date. These days, only true western teachings are ones based on genuine Kabbalah, since it combines unortodox teachings from all basic religions of the middle-east. If you understand egyptian religion, you will see that ALL western religious systems are merest copies of egyptian belief system. The other day I was watching on National Geographic chanell episode about tsunami, and I remembered that at the time tsunami strike (I was at Sri Lanka in a beach house 20 meters from the ocean) I wasn't affraid for one second ( I ended up holding a tiny branch of a tree ), and when it ended, that was the moment when the emotions kicked in. I lost everything, I mean absolutely everything. Fear is an emotional illusion, and with our senses we are all emotionally attached to the world we perceive. What Sai baba told my friend was " follow your heart " . I think that I have made my point. What do I personally think about Sai Baba and his western devotees? It's like selling ice to the eskimos. Guest guest
dear friends before venturing to judge who is the best among the class, one shall understand who is a guru. as described by his holiness shri sankaracharyaji, in sanskrit gu means ignorance and ru (as in rudra) means destroyer. simply put, guru is any person who destroys the ignorance of the native. light alone dispels darkness. for a baby, parents are the gurus. for a student, teachers are the gurus. for a learnt person, atmajnani or a selfrealised man is a guru. for a king, sages are the gurus. the definition or descritpion of guru as searched by the native keeps changing in proportion to the intellect and ignorance of the native. the one and only objective of the guru is to guide the native on the path of knowledge and wisdom and show the native light by sharing his light of knowledge. in my definition, guru is a guide to realise the self (god) within. for those on the path of spirituality, self (god) realisation is the objective in seeking the guidance of a guru and not guru realisation. all truly realised learnt gurus are aware of their roles and do not portray themselves as gods. if the student treat the guru as god (gurudeva), it is out of the student's gratitude and by treating so, the guru gives his blessings and grace to the student. for a person like adi sankara on a spiritual quest, a chandala (illiterate uneducated person) is a guru and the sankara prostrates to the feet of chandala and praise him as a guru, gurudeva and god. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com sacred-objects , " Richard Shaw Brown " <rsbj66 wrote: > > Friends... > > The GREATEST Guru of ALL TIME is impossible to say until the end of > time is reached and all gurus compared. Guest guest
Excellently put. Look at the studied silence of Vikram the vetal and his side kick. One makes a statement and another supports. Then let the gullible swallow the bait and then they can be drawn in. This is a message that has been posted in many hindu groups simultaneously. This seems to be an orchestrated periodic campaign to catch gullible needy people and extract their money.Menon sacred-objects From: rsbj66Date: Tue, 24 Jun 2008 22:15:47 +0000 Re: : the greatest guru of all times ???
