Guest guest
Dear Dattapriyas, Pranams! Jaigurudevadatta! With reference to the query asked by a devotee regarding the rules for females to read Shree Gurucharitra, we are giving the following information from the Dattamantra sadhaks. 1. Shree Gurucharitra was written by Shree Gangadhara Saraswathy in OVI Chandhas of Marathi language. 2.The book of original language is having some vijakshara sahitha and it is having some obstructions to read by females. That book was translated into Sanskrit by Shree Vasudevanand saraswathy swamy (tembe swamy maharaj) by omitting those constraints and it can be read by any one without any doubt. 3.The above sanskrit trnaslation is of 7000 slokas and it is further encrypted into 2000 slokas by tembe swamy maharaj and it is known as "DWI SAHASRI" and also can be read by any one without any limitations. 4.Later on the sanskrit version was further translated by several authors like Shri Bodhanandendra saraswathy, Shri Ekkirala Bharadwaja and others into other regional lanugages and can be read by any one without any limitations. This was also confirmed by the Trust of shree vasudevanand saraswathy, Pune and other sadhaks like Shri GVLN Vidya sagara sharma etc., So, any one can read Shree Gurucharitra of Sanskrit or in any other language by anyone without any doubt. Guest guest
Jai Guru Dutta. SIr, I wish to thank you for your reply.Indeed all ladies who are members of this group will surely benefit by this query. It is with deep gratitude that I extend my " dhanyavaad" to you as you have taken the sincere effort to spare time to find out and clarify. Thanks to you for helping me with this clarification. Although Iam placed in Pune, I did not know whom to consult as Iam still new to this place. I have Sree Gurucharitam in Hindi , English and Marathi ( the Ovi baadh and a pictorial one also.) Now, I feel very relieved that I have not committed any grave mistake by reading these books so many times over and over. After my trip to Narsobawadi a month back, I had not touched the great Book for want of proper clarification. Now, I will restart my Swaadhyaay . May Guru Dutta Be with all. Regards, Mrs.A.Shivan Check out what you're missing if you're not on Messenger
