Guest guest Report post Posted January 12, 2010 For anyone who might be interested I found some minimal information on Ratanti Kali Puja on the internet. From what I have read is does appear that this puja was celebrated before the Kali Puja celebrated at Diwali in "ancient times" and involved an earlier form of Kali then the one which is popular now. It is a Bengali custom, which I suppose is not surprising. I looked at several temples in the USA that celebrate Ratanti Kali Puja, which hints that this is a common practice. Jai Maa!
