The 10th day of November is a very special day, because...it is Sadhu Maa's

birthday! Dear Sadhu Maa, all your friends and family at the Devi Mandir

Group wish you a very happy birthday! Here's a Gem of Wisdom from the Devi

Mandir Treasure House which we would like to offer as our birthday gift to you:

 

" If the Guru is actually the Supreme Divinity, then all expressions of that

divinity must be respected, whereas my allegiance must be towards God. The

highest respect that I can show my grade school teacher is to pass high school,

the highest respect I can show to my high school teacher is to pass college.

That means that I paid attention, I utilized their teachings. The highest

respect that anyone can show to any Guru is to become one with God. That does

not mean I am abandoning my Guru. Rather, I am becoming him. Therefore, I must

gather inspiration from wherever possible, from Brahma, Vishnu, the Lord

Maheshvara, from all sources possible. "
