Hello everyone:

I received an e-mail from Devi Mandir sayng that we could send in a list of

names to be remembered during the ancestor worship on Sept. 18. As an adopted

person, do I remember my unknown blood ancestors, or only the adopted ancestors?

Both my adopted and birth families have had extremely bad fortune for all

generations and even for our youngest generations, nothing seems to go right for

them despite their hard work and efforts. So I'm very interested to participate

in the ancestor worship at the Mandir and have been reciting the tarpan prayers

at home for a while now (including japa of Mrityunjaya Mantra and Gayatri

Mantra). During my at-home worship, I don't name any specific ancestors, but

just pray for peace and release from bondage for all of my ancestors.

So, question is: which ancestors to put on the list for the Mandir and how to

deal with the unknown blood relations (or should they be included at all)?

Rosetta
