obtaining a Rudraksha mala?

Hail the Supreme Mother and the Guru

 

Dear Devotees,

 

I live in rural northern Illinois. I would like to obtain a proper

Rudraksha mala, and begin the to practice the Panchakshara mantra.

 

Should the mala be blessed, or energized, by the Guru? Do I need to

receive the mantra " from mouth to ear " from the Guru before I can begin?
