Guest guest Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 Namaste: I hope that everyone can take a sankalpa to chant / perform japa of Durga's mantra: Om Hrim Srim Dum Durgai Namah as much as your schedule allows during the 9 days of Mother Divine. Friday morning my wife and I had the privilege of chanting this mantra at the homa in the Temple and it was so powerful. As we chanted, thoughts and emotions came into my mind, and I offered them into the fire and asked Durga to purify and cleanse me of all doubt, fear, and remove all obstacles to union with Her. I felt inner quietness, relaxed, and cleansed afterwards. As the day progressed, I chanted the mantra ever time I had a chance. Maa and Swani tell us that during the 9 days, the effect of this mantra is magnified and amplified. Please share your experiences as you chant this mantra. Jai Ma Jai Swami vishweshwar Quote
