With due guidance and initiation, you can perform the same. This is sought because of lack of time, and perhaps means and methods.I do not think there is any restriction on any one doing lagu avarana puja, which is done using the moola mantra like " panchadasi..prathama avarana devatha sripadukam pujayami tarpayami namaha " and so on so forth.Tne end of srividhya upasana is dhyana on the abstract energy and assimilating the same, through the grace of the Guru and that is easier than laghu puja. Both are pooja meant to pray to her in the 9 aavaranas.
